Solana blocks are getting 66% bigger. SIMD-0286 raises the block limit from 60M → 100M compute units. Mainnet activation is scheduled to go live with epoch 1009 (~14 hours). This is already live on testnet and devnet. Read more here: solana.com/upgrades/100m-…

We need to reinvent payment stack for agents. Join us to learn more!

Ship Talk #5 is here. 🚢 AI agents are turning into @solana's busiest new users, paying for data, tools, and each other thousands of times a day. The catch is that the money layer underneath them barely exists yet. This week we're bringing two @colosseum builders who are building that layer onto the mic. 📅 Friday, July 24 | 4PM UTC (TBD) Co-hosted by @sagapad_icm x @solana_stream Theme: Banking the Machines - the money layer for AI agents. Featuring: @ryvonetwork @pactnetwork_io Time to ship. 🔥

If you aren't following @ryvonetwork and @heisenburgirrs i don't know what are you doing. Ryvo is an open agentic payment network. It focuses on enabling seamless, wallet only access to APIs and providers for agents and developers, eliminating traditional API keys, rate limits, and provider switching while centering on innovations like the x402 standard. I learned a ton from them on Ownership Radio #17, and we’ll likely have them back soon. If you’re interested in @MetaDAOProject and @futarddotio to launch your project, just let me know and we’ll make room for you.

"I do have some questions, like is it too restrictive if it's all based on linking tokens to ownership and legal structure" Luka, founder of Ryvo Network, on what he still doesn't fully understand about MetaDAO "The narrative sounds fun, it's like I see the vision. As far as I understand it's, what if you have someone who builds this crazy company and within like next couple of years or couple of months perhaps builds this great product and gets acquired by one of the big companies. And so it allows anyone I guess from all over the world to invest in those projects, and then when they get bought out they can be part of that buyout. So you kind of become part owner of the project" "It's interesting, but what I heard from others, we actually had a meetup yesterday with Superteam Georgia and we kind of talked about MetaDAO as well. Does a token even make sense, like what's the difference? Like that's one of the main questions I have to be honest" "I don't know, I'm trying to kind of like still feel it, because obviously this is not the final form. As far as I understand this is still brand new. Most launchpads are like you just launch a token and people snipe and then they dump and you have a narrative and it's like it's all pump and dump. So obviously MetaDAO is trying to do something different"

Interesting how early electronic commerce protocols for micropayments used the hub model just like @ryvonetwork Users open accounts with intermediaries who then open accounts with vendors. Trust assumptions differ as @ryvonetwork is non-custodial, regardless intersting factoid for x402 enthusiasts.

@ownershipfm batching isn't gatekept by @ryvonetwork, it's open to all, so you can build your own gateway/PSP right on top of the protocol

"The difference between Ryvo, Circle, Arc, and Tempo is that they're all permissioned. Ryvo is by nature non custodial and permissionless" Luka, founder of Ryvo Network, on how Ryvo differs from Stripe's Tempo and Circle's Arc "Tempo dropped and their whole idea was the chain for payments and x402. They have their own MPP, Machine Payments Protocol, which kind of rivals x402. The idea was that x402 is for stablecoins, but why can't agents use credit cards? So Stripe built Tempo, where you give your agent a credit card and pay over it" "Then you have Arc, another L1 by Circle for this specific use case. Do you need a new L1 for every single new use case that comes up? I don't think so. Besides Arc, Circle also has their nano payments gateway, a centralized service that offers gas free micropayments" "The difference between us and Circle, Arc, and Tempo is that they're all permissioned. Ryvo is by nature non custodial and permissionless, and the batching mechanism we use to scale those micropayments is available to everyone"

3/ @ryvonetwork is the wallet layer built so AI agents can pay per API call. x402 plus Ryvo is a way to make API calls cheaper than ever. @heisenburgirrs shared on his latest podcast that he ran the real numbers: >7.58M actual x402 calls on Solana, >paid unbatched that's $800+ in fees for $20 of value, >batched through Ryvo it's about $6 total > roughly 991x cheaper had a chance to talk with @heisenburgirrs a while back, a genuine tech lover. if you're a builder too and want to go deeper, catch him on ShipTalk5 on @sagapad_icm

Underlying tech of @ryvonetwork is by design open and permissionless. This means anyone can use the protocol to build their own gateways, payment service providers or pay providers/agents directly. The gateway/PSP built on top does introduce off-chain bookkeeping for better UX and full utilization of liquidity. But at the end, batching mechanism being available to all and not gatekept by @ryvonetwork means you can build your own gateway/PSP on top of the same protocol.
