There's just no way the actual audience rating is 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Metacritic has the movie at a 5.3/10 user score, Letterboxd has it at 4.3 and IMDB has it at 8.3/10. Rotten Tomatoes is removing negative reviews at the behest of the studio.

The cringiest changes in The Odyssey weren't the 3-minute cameos of Ellen Page and Lupita Nyong'o: 1. Odysseus at the beginning of the movie is nearly in tears and demands Penelope remarry if he doesn't make it back -- literally acting like a cuck, that was not the motivation here. 2. Penelope at the end of the movie gives a feminist rant about how she has the "experience" to be the monarch and the fact it has to be a male King leading is "stupid." 3. Odysseus spends the whole movie crying about the Trojan War and how "bad" it was and how it's bringing about the end of the Bronze Age and Greek civilization, which is complete nonsense. There was no reason for any of this. It was just a complete rewrite that made zero sense in Greek culture. Christopher Nolan 2026 wokeified it.

Other movies such as the woman king also boast a massively high viewer score of 99% despite its viewer score on metacritic at only 3.2.

I re-watched #BatmanVSuperman: UE after a long time. I stayed away from it because it haunted me, not being able to see the full arc of the story. "If you seek his monument, look around you" Coming to the movie, BvS has everything: grandeur, philosophy, mythology, powerful music, action, Nightmare Batman, Death of Superman, masterful color grading, meaningful acting, a serious tone, the Martha moment, and I understand the whining of it not being a popcorn flick. For God's sake, #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and complete this arc. Superman 2025 & Supergirl 2026 made a combined loss of $300M. Read the elephant in the room. For once, re-release Man of Steel, BvS UE, and ZSJL with a proper theatrical re-release window. Provide them with full positivity to see the actual magic. The fake outrage that these movies damaged the brand will disappear. People will actually care about DC again in cinemas. I say this with full confidence.
