The story from Omusati region about the boy who saved the Children and the mother who threw her blessings from mother nature into a pond and the father who has beaten the mother of her daughter. An SMS, an orphan, and cheating just so much in one tragedy

@namibiansun 6 police officers overpowered by 5 guys! Unbelievable. I’m not sexist but we also need to review placement of female officers in certain places.

PRISON BREAK: Five trial-awaiting inmates staged a dramatic escape from the Onandjaba Police Station on Sunday evening after allegedly overpowering officers, stealing firearms and locking police members inside cells before fleeing the premises. According to police information, the incident occurred around 17h00. It is alleged that the five inmates attacked two male police officers while food and medication were being distributed to detainees. The suspects allegedly grabbed cell keys from one of the officers and handcuffed the two members before locking them inside the cells. The suspects reportedly remained inside the cell block until the shift commander opened the charge office door leading to the cells after becoming suspicious when the officers took too long to return. Police said the escapees then seized cellphones and a strongroom key before allegedly assaulting one of four female officers stationed in the charge office. One of the suspects allegedly pointed a pistol at the officer while demanding vehicle keys. The suspects allegedly used the strongroom key to gain access to firearms storage, where they stole one AK-47 assault rifle and four pistols. The escapees have been identified as: •Nestor Shitaleni Kronelius; •Nikodemus Junias; •Amukwaya Amukwaya Mateus; •Immanuel Eliaser, an Angolan national; and •Awala Johannes. The suspects were being held as trial-awaiting inmates on charges including rape, robbery with aggravating circumstances, housebreaking with intent to steal and theft, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault through threatening read with the Domestic Violence Act, possession of arms and ammunition, and escape from lawful custody. Six police officers who were on duty during the incident are listed as victims in the matter.

@laloba22wolf This narrative implies that women cannot do anything on their own, it seems like their mental faculties function according to men's behaviors in their lives

@s_malakia @mufenhu Are y'all fhat stupid that you can do a basic research on cost of living, wage stagnation, & cost in child care? It has almost tripled since the 90s. Healthy kids are expensive. Kids with chronic illness or genetic disorders doubly so.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has expressed concern over the growing gender gap in higher education, as female graduates continue to outnumber their male counterparts at graduation ceremonies. Speaking during the 11th graduation ceremony of the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), Nandi-Ndaitwah said while she remains committed to women's empowerment, there is also a need to ensure equality and equal opportunities for all. She stressed the importance of bringing the boy child on board in the academic world, saying empowering young men is equally important for national development. The President called for balanced empowerment efforts to ensure both men and women contribute meaningfully to the country’s social and economic progress. @pennynaame @s_malakia @NamPresidency There are surely many outstanding individuals in NAMPOL; sadly, an institution’s collective ineptness swallows their good. I guess he’s being axed for this collective failure, as the figurehead and not for personal incapacity.

The way the @NamPresidency is dealing with Shikongo should be the general template for dealing with all in leadership. When your ministry, parastatal or directorate is dysfunctional, the head of the leader must roll.
