Only a few days left for the federal govt to change gears before it hits consumers and small businesses with a 23% increase in the carbon tax. CFIB is calling on Ottawa to: 1. Scrap the 23% carbon tax hike planned for April 1 2. Immediately rebate the $2.5 billion it is sitting on in small business fuel tax returns 3. Announce a full exemption for agri-business uses 4. Exempt all forms of home heating fuel It is clear the next election will be fought on the future of a carbon tax. We can't wait for action on the items above. @WarnkeKim @CFIB Two things. 1) part of the function of a carbon tax is to create a disincentive through pricing to change behaviours, but another part is to redistribute the wealth that is collected through rebates and incentives to move towards renewables. That has not happened. 1/2

Ask anyone in southern Alberta Ag and they'll inform you about the deepening water crisis we're in. It's not a conspiracy, reservoirs are extremely low. A couple dumps of snow is a drop in the bucket.  Ruining/using up our scarce water for foreign coal profit is Anti-Alberta.
