@s_sullivan Honestly I just wish there was much more of it that operates at a level of that or Wolf Hall. Alternate history too. I personally like the venn diagram overlap of fiction and history. Obviously… to most people it’s like nuts and gum

It’s cool that many of the leading voices in the policy / journalistic word of AJ are just smart folks who worked hard. Because the field is so young it was just very rare to have any credentials in it. Folks like my man @dwarkesh_sp and @deanwball could just start writing and thinking about it and become experts.

I’ve been reading these books and I’m telling you, there are few things that will better hone your intellect than reading a bit of history each day. You’ll understand psychology, systems, warfare, government, religion. Most of us are adrift because we don’t study history.
