I was not struggling. I was gone. A shell. Tired in a way sleep does not fix. But I kept moving anyway. Quiet. Slow. One day at a time. No applause. No audience. Just grit. Even if it is ugly. Even if it is inch by inch. Even if nobody notices. You do not need to be perfect. You just need to refuse to quit. Bleeding was stopped by the time we transported to the hospital. Despite the volume of the bleeding, all bloodwork came up good. They sent me back home to fight the next battle. I'm hoping to get an answer from my surgical team to see if there is a way to cut this blood supply off. Back home safe for the moment, but not happy. Oxygen levels have been much improved, and energy with breathing is also greatly improved. The next official physical therapy appointment will be 4 pm Eastern on Wednesday. The biggest hurdle now is still regaining the strength to stand. I'm going to be hiring outside extra physical therapists on a daily basis to help expedite this process. If I can get standing and possibly walking within a week, I can be in a position to receive other treatments I currently can not get but sorely need. Overall, it was a productive positive day so far.
