@sama Who is this for? A deep respect? Better you just said the other thing. “Y’all, we need the fucking money. And I want to win more than I want my next breath. Or yours.”

Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network. In all of our interactions, the DoW displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome. AI safety and wide distribution of benefits are the core of our mission. Two of our most important safety principles are prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use of force, including for autonomous weapon systems. The DoW agrees with these principles, reflects them in law and policy, and we put them into our agreement. We also will build technical safeguards to ensure our models behave as they should, which the DoW also wanted. We will deploy FDEs to help with our models and to ensure their safety, we will deploy on cloud networks only. We are asking the DoW to offer these same terms to all AI companies, which in our opinion we think everyone should be willing to accept. We have expressed our strong desire to see things de-escalate away from legal and governmental actions and towards reasonable agreements. We remain committed to serve all of humanity as best we can. The world is a complicated, messy, and sometimes dangerous place.

Return flight to JFK from SFO and the inflight internet has not been great on either leg. Trying to figure out if the connection has been "bad" or if the demands of a Claude Code driven workflow are video chat-esque in their consistency requirements to keep the tokens flowing.

Why is the White House lying and when will the press push on it? They claim Trump is having his “annual checkup” at Walter Reed Friday. The problem is that he already had that back in April which they released results for. The annual checkup is a long set of tests and so takes significant time - what will Trump *actually* be doing at that time at Walter Reed? -Increasing droop face -increasing memory problems -randomly missing from camera for up to a week at a time And now: -lying about hospital visits. How the HELL isn’t the press pool pushing on these obvious lies?!

1/16 At what point, are we going to clue in to the President's stroke? He is in ailing health, and while duly paying respects to those who lost their lives on 9/11 is barely able to control the right side of his face.

Strange how, despite that best-practice for safety is to park facing out, the layout of most retail parking lots forces you to park facing in. [Sovereign Centre, Kingston]

@joenandez I'm really curious your thoughts about the utility of people sharing their little sub-agents and such. I'm much more a fan of your iterative point here and it feels like these workflows are still very intimate and representative of our personal workflows.

writing great agentic coding prompts is a lot like writing software. identify something you are doing repeatedly. write a small version of that prompt that "works" but is not perfect by a long shot. use it a lot and iterate to improve user flow, improve quality, improve efficiency of using it, etc. next thing you know you've got something that works really well for you and your specific workflow.

@acoustik Looking forward to it. In my experience the hub is the easier part. The inputs and data sources are harder. We generate a lot of data across calls, emails, texts, web surfing… Figure out how to get that all in.

AI without memory is just autocomplete. What if AI could truly remember *you*, across tools, chats, journals, photos, and goals? I’m exploring a concept called the "Personal Memory Hub": a private, portable memory layer powered by AI, connected via Model Context Protocol (MCP). Today’s AI tools reset context constantly. It’s like Groundhog Day for every conversation. MCP aims to fix that. MCP is sometimes called the "USB‑C of AI": a universal connector that lets tools share memory, context, and preferences across platforms. A Personal Memory Hub might enable central storage of your journaling, photos, calendar, and fitness logs, securely ingested into a structured database: - Semantic recall: "What did I write about last month? How did I feel? How stressed was I?" - Proactive support: Weekly summaries, stress alerts, pre-event prep - Portability: any MCP-compatible tool (ChatGPT, Claude, Windsurf, Cursor) could access your memory without retraining or re-authenticating. - More? This wouldn't be just a passive archive. It would be a living memory engine: it procures, reflects, alerts, and moves with you across tools. It would be how we go from chatbots to trusted digital companions. I’m planning to prototype this on @TigerDatabase Cloud, with TimescaleDB, LiveSync, pgai for embeddings, and MCP. I'm curious to hear: - Would this be helpful to you? What should it remember? - Which tools should it connect to first? - What features excite you? And if this is interesting, let's chat 🙏🏽

It’s really wild the range of experiences with AI. Sometimes this thing is omniscient. Sometimes it really can’t see what’s right in front of its face. I get why non-technical people unfamiliar with AI have such a rough time. The "uneven frontier" is no joke.

It's amusing how Claude Code for instance when trying to use a tool I mention will just GUESS at the arguments. Only after the command dies horribly will it actually look up the arguments. No judgements. Just funny.

@sirkitree @ilumine_ai I came to say this as well. If the tools you are using can reference documentation on the internet (as cursor can), that's an option. Documentation MCP servers are also an option. In the distant past, I've also just copy pasted documentation into a tool to provide context.

A bit frustrated with all LLMs and their outdated knowledge of Unity... 😩 Is there any way to train a model with up-to-date documentation so it integrates it natively?

The AI reckoning isn't coming—it's here. My latest explains why individuals orchestrating AI will replace teams, forcing companies to reset and professionals to adapt or be left behind. Research shows one person with AI = a two-person team without it.

AI breaks medium constraints. Create where your audience is, not just where you're comfortable. I built an app when I realized people wanted solutions, not technical explanations.
