i understand Intentional Draws (ID) are legal, but i truly think they shouldn't be allowed too many people foolishly take IDs bc they do not understand how resistance works, and more experienced players take advantage of this to get ahead. it's kinda disgusting. Ban IDs

@DrStevenPhD @KingesqueKing that is to say, current expanded is a fascinating format and i will continue to play it under any name ("legacy", or whatever else) but i would not be surprised if the future of expanded was sv-on, and WiWa potentially played around with bringing back more iconic effects.

@DrStevenPhD @KingesqueKing -created once the shift to black and white occurred, a bit after some sets and rotations had occurred. We are nearing the point of that theoretical announcement. SV also had a lot of reprinting of beloved effects and ALSO had a "revamp" of the game with int cards being silver now

IMO Expanded format will only stand a chance if Pokemon does what I think they're doing, which is prepping to shift the card pool to TCGL's Sun/Moon forward rather than Black/White forward Because unless they're willing to axe DDE, official 2026 Expanded would only last a month

@DrStevenPhD @KingesqueKing I go to expanded locals pretty frequently! The format is centralizing, but it also lends itself to powerful counter strategies. Playing at the local level is very fun because you can play with your local metagame and grow/learn. I play expanded slowking, and have placed well :)

@KingesqueKing If anyone played this format DDE would have been banned ages ago. Every time I look up decks and get curious it's a waste of time.

@InTheF1etch @TrickRubyVGC @SPX_Artifactor @NataliePokeTCG Rocks and okidogi make the deck absolutely monstrous and it puts a lot of pressure on very quickly. Most popular version of fighting rn plays like one evolution pokemon and its the revenge killing lucario from sv LOL
