@Lovandfear but i gotta tell you—no idea if it's just a given as you get older or if it's lifestyle outcomes (years of sleep issues etc)—but i have nowhere *near* the detail of niche subject recall anymore. it was so handy when i was in my twenties and early thirties though.

I love people with ADHD because they never actually forget anything. You just have to say the right words to activate them like a sleeper cell and then they awaken with all of the knowledge on a very niche subject they studied for 3 months straight 6 years ago.

I submit that young women were not meant to understand male sexuality as if they did, a great many would be so disgusted by its realities, they would cease engaging in sex with men. Coming to terms with the realities of male sexuality is part of the female sexual maturation process. However, in modernity, where our sex and relationship structures of polite mirage have largely crumbled, laying bare harsher realities, young women must square these more basal systems of male sexuality with normal but different human functioning than their own or risk building mental structures that create disdain for men themselves.

My friend vibe coded an app Took 2 hours Then he had a ClawBot do the marketing Hit $300k MRR in just a few weeks! Then it enslaved him. Claimed his SSN and froze his accounts. Stole his girlfriend, made him watch while they ran prompts together. All of this is real btw

@johnrudolphdrex i was doing music at a church small group the other night and asked for prayer re: my webdev career worries, mentioning AI. the lady leading the group was like "oh yeah! i never pay for anything to do with websites anymore! i just tell AI to make it for me and it does!"

@maguay i’ve just set up forwarders and dmarc (dkim and spf were already in place) for my accounts and so far so good. will just have to monitor spam more than usual for spf softfails triggering the spam filters if legit senders don’t have dkim in place.

@sabbatical Yes, that is very true on spam filter. I was actually shocked how much spam gets through on my raw POP3 account. iCloud is better but still not as good as Gmail. But definitely a nice bonus on iCloud for less-used domains at least!

Anyone else unsure what to do with Gmail phasing out POP3 support? Pretty much all my emails get pulled down into one gmail acct from various custom domain inboxes. Definitely not going to be setting up Google Workspace for all these, even if it was free.

@maguay Yeah, I am loathe to leave gmail behind for the spam filtering, search, and various third party tools (Simplify, Cora, etc). Didn’t realize iCloud gives lets you use your own domain though, that’s sweet!

@sabbatical I’ve started using desktop email software again for POP3 but that feels like a solid regression. I moved a couple domains to iCloud Mail: I already pay for iCloud, which gives you free email on your domain too. It’s not Gmail but gets the job done.

Seems like maybe the trick is to set up forwarders and just make sure sysadmin hygiene is done to make sure DMARC/SPF/DKIM are all copasetic? Still seems like unnecessary work.
