@footyindustryAU Overall the lines are blurred. Clubs / afl had a chance to engage / arrest this back in around 2013-14 when these fan content channels started to blow up (not talking big footy, saintsational etc). They didn’t. I tried - to no avail - and now look what’s happening.

Im not an expert on this, but while the club cant stop them wearing merch or hosting a non club sanctioned podcast, they could demand that Club IP - logos and imagery, not be used in the podcast.

@footyindustryAU Ah! And here the lines are blurred. There is no direct commercial gain by wearing the gear. No different to me wearing Nike gear and running a poddy.

@No1saintBrett @footyindustryAU I think this is hard too! You know I have knowledge / background here - it’s very very hard unless they are in the confines of the club/stadia/official event.

@footyindustryAU If they are club members can’t they through the terms and conditions of membership officially launch an internal review for conduct unbecoming and bringing their club into disrepute? Or is that constitutionally difficult for them?
