PLEASE @TwitchSupport @djclancy999 This is the second time in three days that I have been indefinitely suspended.. I am being targeted by mass reports as are others in the VRChat category. I was falsely banned for streaming a "prohibited game" 2 days ago and now this. Twitch has been my home for over six years and I've never seen such blatant abuse of moderation.. Please review this again...

[LONG POST] I hope this post can be the catalyst for positive change in the VTuber community. 😕 Guys, just a few thoughts. At what point does all of this harassment I'm receiving become disproportionate to the incredibly tepid 'hot' take that kickstarted everything? Like if that take (which was about ??? MERCH ??!!) was enough to seemingly hurt people so personally and so grievously, I'd hate to see their reaction to something that was actually meant to be malicious 😓 And if it's not me receiving such vile hatred, it's someone else. I've seen it and I'm sure you've all seen it too. I just don't get it guys... When did the VTuber community become so full of hate and anger? And so quick to react and judge? Why do most people either turn a blind eye to this or fuel it even further? And maybe more importantly, why don't streamers call out their communities for pushing things too far? They surely wouldn't condone death threats and targeted harassment but I sincerely don't understand why they stay silent? I get that parasocial relationships play a role here (as much as it's taboo to mention) but what happened to accepting differing takes with an open mind? Even if you, prima facie, don't agree with them? I love seeing dissenting opinions as long as they're respectful - the world would be pretty boring if we all thought the exact same thing!! We're all at fault (myself definitely included, I won't shy away from that) for how the VTuber community now has an undercurrent of mean-spiritedness - if we acknowledge it, we can get better. Turning a blind eye like I have for so long only makes things fester even more. Viewers and streamers have a responsibility, in my eyes, to work together to make this a more welcoming space for everyone - including those with both positive and (constructive) negative takes! 👉 It's my hope that the VTuber community can grow and evolve into a space where it's OK for me to have a different opinion (while not being hateful or rude) of your favorite streamer AND vice versa. Nothing that has happened so far suggests we will reach such a brilliant stage but I'm hopeful guys, I'm still genuinely hopeful. As I said before, maybe this post can be the catalyst for some positive change? Please engage with what I've said in a constructive manner! (you'll kinda look like a bozo if you don't tbh heh) kami 🤠/ 🗣 TL;DR there's an undercurrent of mean-spiritedness in the vtuber community, 99% of it isn't valid, no one really wants to admit it, if it's not directed at me it's at someone else, we all have to stop turning a blind eye to the denigration of others (i can handle the abuse but a lot of people can't) and be better as a truly welcoming community ✨
