Dear Councillor, Mayor, and Municipal Corporation Officials,
I am writing to express my deep outrage and concern over the shocking, deplorable condition of the open drain/nullah shown in the attached photographs. This is not a minor issue — it is a public health emergency and a blatant failure of civic governance.
Questions that demand immediate answers:
1. Why has this nullah/drain not been cleaned for what appears to be years?
2. Where is the regular desilting and waste removal work that municipal budgets are allocated for?
3. Councillor and Mayor — how often do you or your teams personally inspect such drains in your ward? When was the last visit?
Who is responsible for the rampant dumping of garbage here? Why are there no barriers, or strict penalties to stop this?
4. What action has been taken against the officials and contractors who failed in their duty to maintain this public infrastructure?

2. Few metres from Avadi Police station.
3. Near Karumariamman temple & HDFC bank (Devi Nagar)
4. Few metres behind Nazareth school back gate.
