gonna be honest: re the infinite monkeys, for infinite time, on infinite typewriters, inadvertently, flawlessly writing the complete works of Shakespeare—just don't see it happening. i get that it's infinite time & all results will happen. this one wont, though. they're monkeys.

i was on /mu/ in 2011 when /mu/core was quite niche and /pol/ in 2015 when antisemitism was relatively fringe, and ten years later everyone online knows /mu/core and is antisemitic. this has made waking life absurdly surreal for me because i did not expect any of this to happen

There were a few The craziest one where the MtF is in his basement cave and it's like a Where's Waldo of terrifying detail His brother is bringing down a box of panties ordered online "Hey Jak- I mean Sophie another one of your computer friends is here" and it's a dude walking down the stairs with him in a :3 facemask Another MtF happily strapped to the bed with cut scars on xer thighs another one under the bed playing on their phone A computer science degree on the wall, GPU box and the art of war on the bookshelf Yuru yuri posters, anime figs, multiple monitors with clear evidence of grooming on discord. a to-do list prioritizing increasing the size of the t girl harem, dosing dad with hormones, etc It just went on and on, there was a single part of the image that wasn't 😬 I suppose it's a KIND of art...

not 'early AI,' but the period when it started to imperfectly resemble reality, it had this weird atmosphere to it. was like looking into a slightly warped mirror of our world, with the aesthetic logic of dreams. it's too much a facsimile of reality now to evoke that feeling
