Eli Lilly has done it. They've gone and made what seems to be a powerful, permanent gene therapy for LDL cholesterol. That means they'll be able to effectively prevent most heart disease with a single infusion!

CHAMATH TO CLOUDFLARE CEO: SHUT THE FUCK UP Literally. He just destroyed him on the All-In podcast yesterday. Called his layoff op-ed "from the PR school of retards." Hard to disagree with him on this one.
Official Layoff@LayoffAI

CLOUDFLARE CEO EXPLAINS HOW HE CHOSE WHICH EMPLOYEES TO LAY OFF DUE TO AI This man just laid off 1,100 people during Cloudflare's best quarter in company history. $639.8 million in revenue. 34% growth. Record free cash flow. He then wrote a Wall Street Journal op-ed explaining how he decided which employees to replace with AI. His framework: every company has 1) builders (engineers) 2) sellers (salespeople) 3) measurers (middle managers, operations, HR, finance, analytics) According to him: AI replaces the measurers. He admitted he could not find a single example in U.S. business history of a public company growing at 30%+ that simultaneously cut 20%+ of its workforce. So he made himself the first. The stock dropped 24% before rebounding steadily the past two weeks. Nearly 1 million people applied for 1,111 Cloudflare internships. He cited that as a sign of opportunity. Read that ratio again. That is 900 rejections for every single acceptance. So, I wonder: if AI truly made your employees more productive, wouldn't the rational move be to keep them and capture more output? You only cut if this is about margins. Not transformation. Margins. Cloudflare has over a dozen roles open in India on LinkedIn, and has filed for 251 H-1B employees in the past 24 months.

Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code at Anthropic, just explained why single-agent workflows are already dead in this talk he breaks down exactly how the future is teams of agents, not better prompts: - the 14% you lose to CLAUDE.md before typing a word - one agent researching. one building. one reviewing. one orchestrating - the architecture that separates hobbyists from real builders - the 3 properties every agent team needs to actually survive if you've been using Claude for more than a month and never left the chat window, you've been using one agent when you could be running a team of them instead of another show tonight, watch this make sure to bookmark it before it gets lost in your feed the guide is in the article below

Ok, gloves off. Fuck it. CCP wants US open borders to dissolve the US and render it dysfunctional. FSB wants US closed borders to maximize multipolarity / break ties with allies in their backyard. Anybody pushing for any of these extremes is a useful idiot to foreign agents.

If you haven't set up Agents.md in Codex yet you can just copy the homework from Andrej Karpathy. Here's the exact setup (takes 2 minutes): 1. Go to his repo 2. Copy the 65-line Agents.md config 3. Paste it into Codex App → Global Custom Instructions 4. Done. You're already ahead of 90% of Codex users. It's minimalist. It's effective. Bookmark and Save it no matter. It'll be the most productive thing you will do this weekend

Q: How are job postings for software engineers rising rapidly despite AI agents automating coding? A: Because there’s far more code to manage than ever before. We’re already seeing a 14x YoY increase in GitHub commits, and it’s accelerating. AI has dramatically lowered the cost of writing code, so it’s now being used across far more businesses, applications, and use cases. We’re at the beginning of a massive productivity boom driven by the proliferation of bespoke software throughout the entire economy. Coding has been AI’s breakout use case this year. The fact that it’s increased demand for software engineers — rather than decreased it — should call into question the entire “AI will cause mass job loss” narrative.

Building things like spaceships and data centers *is* how great people fix things and make Earth a better place for humans. It’s not dumping money on homeless people, which is an infinite sinkhole that will do nothing to stop homelessness and will actually make it worse.
daz@MetamateDaz

I genuinely don't understand people like Bezos and Musk. If I had billions of dollars, I would just start fixing everything. Homeless veterans sleeping on the streets? Not on my watch. Hungry children going to bed with empty stomachs? Hell no. They could be making life better but instead choose to build spaceships and data centers to pump stocks and destroy the planet

ANTHROPIC 🔥: Claude will soon receive a new file-based memory upgrade, offering users the option to choose between Memory Files and Classic memory. > Organized notes Claude writes as you chat and reads when they're relevant. Browse and edit them anytime. This feature appears to be a new iteration of the previously discovered "Knowledge Bases" and more closely resembles what memory works in always-on agents like OpenClaw and Hermes. Considering a potential future debut of Claude Conway, Memory Files feature is likely an important preparation step.
