A newly published annual report (2025) by Iran human rights exposes staggering figures. These numbers are a wake up call. More than 1600 executions in Iran in 2025 – a shocking 68% increase from the year before and the highest number since 1989. An average of 4–5 executions per day was used to intimidate citizens, suppress dissent, and maintain control as protests continued to erupt across the country. Here are some even more shocking numbers of a regime that is surviving by the rope: -Public hangings were carried out, sometimes in front of children -At least 48 women executed – the highest number in over 20 years -Society’s most vulnerable disproportionately targeted I don't know how this could be said more clearly so that even Leftists would understand the importance of international intervention to stop these atrocities.
