🇺🇸 Marco at 2:00 PM — No international waterway or airspace should ever be used or nationalized by any country. That should never be accepted as a new normal. 🇮🇷 Iran at 3:00 PM — You stormed into our country, bombed a school, and killed 170 innocent children. Should that be accepted as normal?🔥 Absolute belt treatment 👏

@SpecialCouncil @ASEAN does not seem to know exactly what is really happening in Myanmar; the 5 Point Consensus has failed, so we need a framework with a clear end game agreed by the people; it was a sham election; do not recognise the junta; support the people, not the junta!!! @NUGMyanmar

"ASEAN is being systematically deceived & manipulated by the junta & choosing, repeatedly, not to notice. If #ASEAN cannot stop the junta’s violence & save our people’s lives, the least it can do now is stop lending it legitimacy & get out of the way." english.dvb.no/drop-the-junta…

Ever since Obama signed the nuclear agreement with Tehran, the Iranians have consistently maintained that their nuclear program is peaceful. However, Trump withdrew from the agreement during his first term, and in his second term, he launched a war against Iran at Israel's instigation, hoping to topple the regime. And now, what is the result of this war? A return to Obama's agreement, but with improved terms that favor Iran.

Iranian commentators opposed to the Tehran government are clearly disappointed that Iran is coming out of the war victorious. They'd have wished for the war to continue until a regime change is achieved. Well, hard luck. All Mossad preparations and plotting have come to nothing.

OP-ED | This is how normalization begins. Not with a formal announcement. With a working visit, a cordial meeting, talk of “bilateral relations” conducted behind the backs of our people, lacking transparency, disrespecting our will... english.dvb.no/drop-the-junta…

5 years of failed #5PC have shown what #ASEAN’s complicity in the junta’s crimes against humanity looks like. #Philippines has a chance & a responsibility to show what a principled alternative looks like. 🚫@ASEAN must stop legitimizing the junta. Read: bit.ly/4uz45xe

The US Government (through its NED) sent 200 Starlink terminals into Iran in January to coordinate the terrorism that killed over 3,000 people - and was then falsely blamed on Tehran. Thank you @MaxBlumenthal

So they’ll probably reach a 60-days ceasefire deal, which will make it harder for US to resume bombing IRAN, but which also drag the crisis on through the summer … Which begs the question: What about LEBANON and PALESTINE

#RESETMalaysia #IMsaifuddin

"Is Shariah Compatible with Democracy?" I spoke on this question at the recent @mpac_national @CSID_DC conference. I said, "Yes" — if Sharia is understood not as a law enforced by states, but as a voluntarily followed religious way of life. Watch here: cato.org/multimedia/med…

Zohran Mamdani has decided not to participate in the Israel Day Parade in New York. Thus, he will become the first New York City mayor since 1964 not to attend the parade.

Nothing is confirmed and finalized yet, and the spoilers should not be underestimated, but lots of activity that points in the direction of a deal. A few things stand out: 1. The role of China in the background is essential. Without having its fingerprints on the deal, and by that, avoiding any responsibility if it fails, China is emerging as the silent, indispensable diplomatic power in the region. (While Pakistan's Asim Munir is traveling to Tehran, the Pakistani Prime Minister will be departing for Beijing shortly) 2. The regional involvement in the mediation is astounding: Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi and Oman are all or have all been playing an instrumental role in moving things forward. If a deal is reached, it will have regional buy-in (save from Israel and the UAE) at levels far beyond the JCPOA. See my Substack for the full analysis: tritaparsi.substack.com/p/are-we-on-th…
