Ever since Obama signed the nuclear agreement with Tehran, the Iranians have consistently maintained that their nuclear program is peaceful. However, Trump withdrew from the agreement during his first term, and in his second term, he launched a war against Iran at Israel's instigation, hoping to topple the regime. And now, what is the result of this war? A return to Obama's agreement, but with improved terms that favor Iran.

Iranian commentators opposed to the Tehran government are clearly disappointed that Iran is coming out of the war victorious. They'd have wished for the war to continue until a regime change is achieved. Well, hard luck. All Mossad preparations and plotting have come to nothing.

The regional involvement in the mediation is astounding: Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi and Oman are all or have all been playing an instrumental role in moving things forward.
