@pandakansai I’m surprised to hear that, guess inflation has hit everywhere. When I visited 10 years ago, I was shocked how inexpensive the restaurants and food markets were in comparison to Japan and the U.S.

Hong Kong food prices are soooooo expensive now holy shit. Compared to 5 years ago, things almost doubled at a Cafe de Coral. But jfc there's Japanese chain restaurants in every street corner. Sushiro, saize, Udon, Coco curry, etc

@HistorianZhang Oh my GOD I just had to pay 2,700 Canadian dollars for a one-way ticket to Vancouver from Narita (all inclusive). It hurts.

@Gaijinotousan Wow, I wasn’t aware of the 10 kg personal baggage exemption for cheese. I thought only processed cheese was ok. Let us know how it goes. Last summer, I was able to bring back Japanese meat-based curry to the US, even though I believe it needed an inspection certificate.
