She gave a simple explanation, and she is absolutely right. However, marriage is not meant to function on rights and obligations alone; it is also built on compassion, mercy, and love. A wife who genuinely loves her husband would naturally find it difficult to watch him struggle financially if she has the means to help. In such a situation, she would most likely step in and support him. That said, as she rightly mentioned, it is not her responsibility or obligation to provide for him financially. In Islam, the financial responsibility of the family rests on the husband. But Islam also encourages kindness, cooperation, and mutual support between spouses. So while a wife is not required to spend her money on her husband, helping him when she is able to is an act of love, compassion, and goodwill and Allah will reward her accordingly.

“My husband cannot come and say I should come and pay school fees with him, it’s not done… My money is my money. His money is for all of us. That’s what Islam says…”

These are our Eid al-Adha Checklist and Sunnah to Uphold on this Day They are in 4 phases; Phase 1: Before Leaving the House 1. Performing a full ritual bath (Ghusl) before heading out to the prayer ground. 2. Wearing your absolute best, cleanest clothes and applying perfume (for men). 3. Delaying eating anything until you return from the Eid prayer to eat from your sacrifice. 4. Ensuring your entire family is ready to come along, including women, children, and even menstruating women who can sit nearby to witness the blessings of the day. Phase 2: On the Way to the Prayer Ground 1. Heading out early to the prayer ground to secure your spot in the front rows. 2. Walking to the prayer ground on foot if you are physically able, rather than driving. 3. Moving toward the Eid prayer ground while loudly reciting the Takbeer. 4. Giving charity to the poor and needy on your way to or from the prayer ground to share the joy. 5. Smiling, showing happiness, and spreading peace to everyone you pass, whether you know them or not. Phase 3: At the Eid Prayer Ground (Musalla) 1. Performing the Eid prayer outdoors in an open field (Musalla) rather than inside a regular mosque, unless weather forces you inside. 2. Avoiding any voluntary prayers (Nafl) before or after the Eid prayer while at the prayer ground itself. 3. Listening quietly to the Eid sermon (Khutbah) after the prayer is completed before leaving. 4. Congratulating your fellow believers with the traditional greeting: Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum (May Allah accept it from us and from you). Phase 4: The Return and the Sacrifice 1. Changing your route on the way back home so you return using a completely different road. 2. Slaughtering your sacrificial animal (Udhiyah) immediately after the Eid prayer is finished, not before. 3. Eating the liver of your sacrificial animal as the very first meal of the day if you are slaughtering. 4. Ensuring that the meat from your sacrifice is divided properly into three parts: for your household, for gifts to friends/neighbors, and for charity to the poor. Taqaballahu Minna Wa Minkum 🙏 Allah knows best.

That’s why some scientific discoveries are called theories. In many cases, people have observed these things long before they were formally explained. The theory only comes later to study, test, and document it properly. For example, if I throw a pen inside a moving bus, it still lands back in my hand even though the bus is moving. People experience things like this naturally, but science explains why it happens and puts it into a structured form for learning and understanding.

I hope you all know that the financial expiation for unnecessarily aborting a pregnancy after 4 months (ensoulment) is now 42 million naira minimum. And if you cannot afford it, the alternative is 60 days of consecutive fasting. I said I should remind you.

The reality and truth is that the mummy shown in the video is not the Pharaoh of Moses, and the idea that his body was preserved by a divine miracle to last until modern times is a complete internet myth. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen (Rahimahullah) thoroughly dismantled this claim. He explained that when Allah says in Surah Yunus (10:92) that He saved Pharaoh's body to be a sign for "those who succeed you," it referred strictly to the Bani Isra'il who were alive at that exact moment. Pharaoh had terrorized them for so long, claiming to be a god, that when he drowned, they literally could not believe he was dead. Allah caused his physical corpse to float to the shore purely so his victims could see his lifeless body with their own eyes and find closure. Once that purpose was served, the natural elements took their course. The mummy you see on display today belongs to Ramesses II, a real Egyptian king who died in his bed in his nineties from natural causes. His preservation is not a Quranic miracle. Please don’t forget this. His preservation is just the result of advanced ancient Egyptian chemical engineering and mummification using natron salt. We do not need to rely on fabricated museum folklore to validate the truth of the Quran. The Pharaoh of Moses drowned in the Red Sea, his story ended right there, and his body served its purpose thousands of years ago. Allah knows best.

In Fiqh, the only aspect of culture that can complement religion or be used as a basis for rulings is the one that does not contradict the fundamental principles of Islam. Writing a long epistle only to remain on the fence is not it. Allahu Musta’an.

This video shows a traditional Chechen Sufi Zikr (Dhikr), a loud circular remembrance of God practiced by followers of the Kunta Haji branch of the Qadiriyya Sufi order. It involves rhythmic stomping, swaying, and collective chanting, not casual dancing, but a structured spiritual ritual aimed at achieving focus, unity, and closeness to Allah. This form was popularized in the North Caucasus in the 19th century by the Chechen mystic Kunta Haji Kishiev, who adapted Qadiriyya teachings during a time of Russian expansion and conflict. Before declaring such practices wrong or innovative, it is important to understand the history of a people and the reasons they adopted these traditions. For Chechens, this Zikr became a powerful symbol of resilience, identity, and spiritual resistance after centuries of war and repression. It offered accessible spirituality and collective strength to ordinary people facing immense hardship. Dismissing it without context ignores how cultural and religious practices often emerge as responses to a community’s lived realities. That said, it is equally essential to know what is clearly permissible and impermissible in Islam based on the Quran and authentic Sunnah. This loud circular Zikr is a later Sufi development, not a practice from the time of the Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam), and remains a point of scholarly debate, some see it as valid spiritual expression, while others view it as bid’ah. True understanding requires both historical empathy and returning to core Islamic sources with sincerity.
