Dear Avalanche Community, It deeply saddens us to announce that we — @demirelo, @Vikram_Nagrani, and I — have, earlier this week, formally resigned from the boards of the Avalanche Foundation and its underlying companies. Aytunç ceased to exercise executive function on February 28, 2025, and the Board has been on a holding pattern since, trying to find a way forward. Our decision to voluntarily step down was not taken lightly, and it pains us greatly to have had to do so. This collective resignation has been a difficult decision given our passion, dedication, and commitment to Avalanche and its people, as well as all the hard work we have done for the ecosystem and the community since we joined the Foundation. We hope the community will recall the work we have done over the past 18 months. From a standstill start, we created a brand and identity for the Avalanche Foundation, gave the Foundation a voice, and published its first Annual Report in the interests of a journey towards greater transparency to the community. We have supported the community and project teams, launched incentive and grant programs such as infraBUIDL() and infraBUIDL(AI), conceived and launched AiFRED, brought new builders to Avalanche, and most recently worked to bring the vibes and attention to Avalanche when other ecosystems have been faltering. We have even made moves towards bringing greater coordination within our ecosystem and between ecosystem partners, and focusing our growth strategy to new markets, verticals, and meaningful partnerships. We understand that our departure may come as a shock to our community, ecosystem partners, and stakeholders. Throughout our time on the board, we have strived to put the community first, guided by the values of service, transparency, and dedication. We are immensely proud of what we have accomplished together and are inspired by the brilliant, tenacious, and passionate community members who have driven Avalanche’s growth. It has been our pleasure to work with some incredibly talented individuals at the Avalanche Foundation and Ava Labs, whom we will miss dearly. We wish the very best for the Avalanche ecosystem and you, our beloved community. 🔺
