@TeacherTapp And that's before you add extra-curricular activities (run by 50% of you), break /lunch duties, meetings, parents' evenings, etc etc!
Ultimately, the government either must reduce expectations on schools or reduce teacher timetables.
Sadly this may not be the answer they want!

The government wants to cut 'unproductive tasks' from teacher workload.

@MrGMcMillan Yes I'd say overall its a positive we have it on phones and laptops so easily accessible - the only possible negative is it means staff use their phones around the school and in the classroom which might be something that you don't want to have.

@MrGMcMillan We use slack with an on-call channel - we also have channels for medical, shout outs (positive messages) and channels for department and tutor teams.
It also has direct messaging between staff - an added bonus is that slack has reduced email traffic in the school

And remember two things. The first is that we have no wealth without health. The second it we cannot earn if we do not learn. We have forgotten both facts. And we have not invested in either by making sure talented people deliver both.
