@mcuban @DavidNBrennan I’m about to retire, and had to find answers for covered meds. Went from EOB costs of $1200/month to my out of pocket now just under $100/quarter (thanks, Mark). It’s an unbelievable racket.

My buddy just started atorvastatin, and told me his EOB listed the price at $1000. I didn’t believe him so I looked up my telmisartan ($500). These are $5-15 medications that the pharmacy is “charging” 100X.
Are these just legacy prices, or is this part of the racket?

Answer: if you don't price it high enough the insurance company PBM gets their vig, it goes no where. They don't want theowest price. They want the most profitable price The PBMs control the formulary for 80pct of the market. If you don't price it high enough to get them rebate money, they will not make it available to patients.

My Bob died yesterday and the loss is nearly unbearable. I’m so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and condolences. All you guys LOVED my husband. What a joy that is to me! I wish I could reach out to thank each of you personally, but I see you and thank you for loving my Bob.

@bkravitz This is well done, Bob. I'm of the same era at IU, and you're right. It's an embarrasment to the university and its alumni to see this. Seems like a university is a good place for people to learn to get news from journalistic sources, not just the social media headline.
