@francisxyzk I remember seeing this in a supermarket in Switzerland twenty-something years ago - the customer ritualistically removing their food from unnecessary packaging and leaving the packaging for the supermarket to deal with. Passed the responsibility back down the food chain.

I saw a woman in the supermarket, who after paying for her goods, opened all her plastic wrapped fruit and veg and placed them into air-tight-containers; then discarded the packaging into in-store bins. Impressive.

Past week, 4 Asian hornets trapped. 1 in E. Sussex, 3 in Kent. 23 May in NBU trap Etchinghill, Kent. 25 May, Four Oaks area (E. Sussex). 25 May in trap Martin’s Mill, Kent. Hornet caught next day by inspector. 30 May, a hornet in NBU trap separate site Martin’s Mill, Kent

This time last yr I was dealing with a cancer scare & about to have surgery. I bought an old chimney pot & planted it up so I’d see it when I got back from hospital. Here it is now: saxifrage, lungwort, bellis, violas, forget me not, anemone blanda, small good owl, hagstone 🌿
