Nobody is lying to you. These examples show it in large text literally in line the comparisons. They are all very clear about this, as they legally need to be.
I understand it’s trendy to call tech companies bad, but this is not at all bad. It’s entirely clear.

Tech companies are basically lying to you: - They compare their new products to ones released MANY years ago (to make it as confusing as possible to figure out how much has actually changed this time) - They invent new specs that mean absolutely nothing (like how much zoom their phone cameras can do) - They write “up to” just before telling you how much their new product has improved by (so you can’t sue them when you don’t get those numbers) And a LOT more So, I decided it was time to break it down with @MKBHD on YouTube - video live now

This is not normal engineering… this is Apple-level thinking.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is charging again after 3 days since I submerged it in seawater while capturing aquatic life.
It still disconnects randomly a couple of times, then starts charging again. I’ll rinse it with fresh water, as some users suggested there might be salt residue in the USB-C port. Hopefully, it clears up and the iPhone works like new in a few days. Mind-blowing safety standards by Apple.
iPhone didn’t fail… it chose to protect itself.

My iPhone 17 Pro Max is COOKED 🫣 So I used my iPhone underwater to capture some shots. Everything seemed fine at first, but after a day it showed “unable to charge – liquid detected.” Even after waiting a 6-7 more hours, blowing air into the port, it was still showing "Liquid detected". I tapped override charging and it started charging, but after a few minutes it stopped again. Then I switched to MagSafe and it started charging normally. Now the weird part… it charges with MagSafe, and even charges via power bank (USB-C), but it’s not charging at all with PD chargers. This is seriously confusing 😅 Any thoughts or has anyone faced this before?
