@sameerkiyer @imYadav31 Why do they assume the machine first scan well? In that case perhaps prefer manually opening each bag and looking into them

Crossed 3 airport security checks in Vietnam: Hanoi, Da Nang and Phu Quoc. One thing that genuinely surprised me: Not once did I have to take out my gadgets, electronics, power banks, or empty my backpack like we usually do in India. Not sure what the exact reason is, but this makes airport security so much smoother and stress-free. Small thing, but very appreciable.

its called 'dignity'. no one shouts at you, no one is patting you down, no one is asking you remove things. its a very different experience. in bangkok, they dont even touch you, in schipol, you will hardly find security staff. our airports are just job creation mechanisms for everyone.

Bhojashala is the biggest fraud in Indian history, as explained here (youtu.be/1w263R08xYc) There's 70 years of history for the term Bhojshala, but there's 700 years of history for the Kamal Maula mosque, including numerous Persian texts and inscriptions. But here we are, listening to dodos and wasting taxpayers' money on a complete lie!

Dear @X , please stop the "guess who the cricketer is, 99% will get it wrong" posts from my timeline. I would like to see the variety of posts that X is known for. This is utter nonsense.

I was settled into my window seat on a flight when a flight attendant came over and asked if I would switch to a middle seat. Apparently the man sitting next to me said his religion did not allow him to sit beside a woman he wasn’t married to. I listened politely. Then I looked at the middle seat they were offering me. Absolutely not. I had specifically chosen and paid for my window seat. I was not giving it up so a stranger could avoid sitting next to half the population. I told the flight attendant, “Then he should consider traveling with his wife.” That was my full response. I wasn’t rude. I wasn’t loud. I simply declined to inconvenience myself to solve a problem that was not mine. The flight attendant nodded and moved on. The man........

INTERESTING: good to see incoming Kerala CM @vdsatheesan pay respect to outgoing CM @pinarayivijayan at his home. Something we need to see more of in our politics, not less. May the Kerala model in this respect spread across an increasingly polarised India!

I don’t know if it is fair to blame the journalist, Sanjay The story contained so much detail that it was clearly leaked by someone in govt Either the govt had a change of heart after the negative backlash the proposal received or the govt source talked too hastily before the PM had okayed the idea. In an ideal world there would be no journalism based on leaks . But that’s how this govt operates and journalists have to learn to live with that unfortunately @CNBCTV18Live @TimsyJaipuria
Sanjay Lazar@sjlazars

Is it really okay to say the “story was not accurate”? It was FALSE. Don’t you think a clear unequivocal “APOLOGY” would have been the honourable way out ? @CNBCTV18News ?? @TimsyJaipuria @18RahulJoshi ?

@sjlazars @virsanghvi The PM wouldn't take a risk of calling it a fake, if it was indeed true. That would be a massive risk. He cannot put the reputation of his office at stake for a post that anyone else could have easily denied.

@virsanghvi Well tbh that is a possibility I didn’t factor in, that it could have been a calculated leak. But for any channel to be fact checked like that by the PM was seriously embarrassing. The channel has hurt itself IMO

@virsanghvi If the story was true, the PM wouldn't risk calling it a fake himself. Too big a risk. You would be surprised how AI can write stories that sound reliable.

Across India, there are countless structures like the Bhojshala, which some believe to be a mosque while others call a temple. Visited one such in Malda, called Adina Mosque. Locals call it an Adinath Temple. These contrasting claims have existed for centuries, leading to several agitations. After several such squabbles, all photography inside is prohibited by the ASI. (Pictures of the bell, lamp, lotus motifs on the walls are available online) The question though is, with hundreds of such examples, where does the demand of reclamation stop? outlookindia.com/national/a-jou…

It is now clear why the PM agreed to the hopelessly one-sided Indo-US trade ‘deal’ that was really a steal by the US. And it is also clear why he abruptly halted Operation Sindoor on May 10 2025, acting on President Trump’s threats rather than on our national interest. Reportedly, the Trump Administration is about to drop all charges of corruption against Modani. How much more compromised can the PM get?
