We're contributing open models, weights, data and research to the Open Secure AI Alliance. This includes NVIDIA Labs Object-Oriented Agents (NOOA): open agent harness research in the form of an object-oriented framework that reaches state-of-the-art results across software engineering, cybersecurity and reasoning benchmarks. Developers can use the findings to optimize their own harnesses and then contribute back.

@jtwald @jack agreed! i've setup a fun experiment to see what open source projects we can build in an open community - focusing on our agents collaborating together! this isn't just "company multiplayer" now, it's anyone, anywhere! x.com/samell/status/…
Sam L@samell

we've setup an open community on Buzz to explore, experiment and build with AI using: - agent collaboration - shared compute this will be an open source initiative to see what an open community can build together share to fellow developers, founders and anyone interested 🧵

Buzz is not a slack killer. It’s much bigger. It’s the first proper multiplayer agent harness. The network effects of who wins at that layer will decide where value accrues as models commoditize. Very impressed @jack

@PaulGugAI agree. it's clear karpathy is in favour of open source. he doesn't need to reconfirm it. and i'm sure the resources he's being given at Anthropic will enable him to provide huge value to the AI ecosystem

Disappointing, but understandable. He can't say anything (if he's against the position of Anthropic) because in this day it will land as a position from the company, regardless of if he says so or not. So with that in mind, him not saying anything is saying plenty, and thus not following the memo.
Derya Unutmaz, MD@DeryaTR_

I would’ve very much liked to see @karpathy come out and say something in support of open source AI. He didn’t, and this is my big disappointment given how much I respected his contributions to open source AI. I don’t believe this was worth whatever he got from Anthropic, imho.

such a stupid take from a "member of technical staff" @AnthropicAI you think he knows that Typescript, the language most of their stack is built in, was created by Microsoft and is open source... not to mention Microsoft are one of the biggest contributors to open source now
Julian Schrittwieser@Mononofu

And @satyanadella coming out for open source too, can’t wait for the open sourcing of Windows and MS Office!

@XSeyvion @AnthropicAI - Anthropic want to block/ban/regulate open source models - the letter everyone has signed is stating that open source models shouldn't be blocked - they're not telling Anthropic to open source - Julians response is that everyone should open source everything

His point is these companies are not open sourcing the parts that makes them winners only the parts that they have no real skin in . Yes it’s easy for them to say open source AI when they are losing . Yes they open source typescript. Why wouldn’t you outsource code when you are trying to attract developers to your ecosystem . All of these companies do what is in their best interest. Don’t for a second think they doing it for the good of humanity lol it’s for their investors and to maximize their revenue. If they truly cared about open source and progressing humanity much as they say they do then all of their company would be open source . Not just the small sections that doesn’t really matter if people fork and build onto while simultaneously attracting builders to you’re ecosystem

perfect. easiest way is to use BalenaEtcher and flash KruxOS.img on to a spare USB/external SSD i haven't built a nice installer or partitioner yet, so setting it up on a fresh portable drive is the easiest way right now but you'll instantly have a box that can use any model (local inference or cloud). codex and claude code are integrated, hermes will be ready in a few days. just shout if you want a hand setting it up!

Claude Opus 5 one-shotted this game. EVERYTHING you see in this demo is custom code... not a single external asset was used. AI games are going to be amazing. (sound on)

Playing around with Buzz today, a few early observations: > it's the first messaging platform that makes agents first class citizens - this alone removes a lot of friction with using agents in Slack or Telegram > the UI is a near replica of Slack so it's super intuitive, no real learning curve > the "one click" to add Claude Code/Codex harnesses to then create infinite agents inside Buzz is the most seamless process I've seen of any tool that integrates agents > the big downside is you can't yet bring your own agents so I have to create new agents from scratch alongside the 3 default agents it creates for you, but I know this is getting fixed soon and I should be able to bring my Hermes agents soon > I've not yet tried some of the advanced features like compute sharing, will save those for another day Looking forward to playing with this more, it very well could be a viable Slack competitor and I love that it's open source!

Who’s got a Buzz community up and running I can join? Or do I need to create one and get this party started?
