Yesterday I went to the market to buy a live chicken,the vendor sold it for 13500 with cleaning and dressing fees Then,I called oga on the phone to ask if we can airfry or use our kulikuli oil to fry,oga said we should use kulikuli oil that it will give it extra taste and make the chicken richer in taste with the kulikuli oil that has ginger and some other spices in it I disagreed 😢 by saying using an air fryer is more healthy than frying in a pan Oga told me that it’s been long since we have fried meat in the house,and since it’s not a common thing that I should fry it inshort oga said he prefers fried chicken with our kulikuli oil to air fried chicken When I thought about how much the oil costs I did strong head and put the chicken inside the air fryer instead Since I woke up early the chicken was in the air fryer with no timer set or temperature 😢 It was my children that perceived the smell and I remember the chicken immediately 😭 Ah see my chicken o Kai ~Ojediran Abiodun

Lowkey that’s the mistake plenty of us make. Few years ago when I got a full time role, I relaxed. Stopped working on Upwork, stopped showing my work, stopped marketing myself because money was entering. Then the role ended. Omo… na to start from scratch again. 😂 The people really making money in design never stop posting. In fact, the more money they make, the louder they market themselves. A lot of creatives in Nigeria treat visibility like suffering. Once small money enter, dem disappear. Meanwhile the top guys abroad are posting every single day like rent is due. Look at Dann Petty, Adrian from Design Me and many others. Big designers, bigger audience, still posting process, thoughts, work, tutorials, everything.
