🚨People keep saying “the algorithm”… however it’s almost never ONE algorithm. I’m going to start a short series breaking down different types of algorithms I’ve actually worked with over the years. Early on I started off with heuristic based systems then moved to classical ML methods. Algorithms and models are not the same thing… A model is the larger structure. Many of these algorithms can operate inside a single model, and often multiple algorithms interact, stack, or chain to produce the output people refer to as “the algorithm.” Actually there’s an entire ecosystem. So when people say “the algorithm is targeting me,” what they’re usually describing is the actual behavior of a system built on a combination of algorithms. This is the best statement on this thread... Big picture wise, both played a role in what is now manifesting in the public. It is neither one person who is completely innocent or guilty. When things happen in my life, I do self inventory to see what part I played in it. They both realize that the big picture will not help their case. However… Baldoni does look slightly better. Based on the judge’s ruling the claims never would have reached the legal threshold to be considered SH even beyond just the technicalities.

Baldoni's net worth is roughly $6 million. Lively and Reynolds combined are reportedly worth $380 million. That disparity is exactly why he wants it in front of the jury and exactly why she wants it out. Both sides filing motions to block inconvenient evidence tells you one thing clearly, neither is confident the full picture helps their case.

If the retaliation claims are what’s left, do they have any information regarding this as witnesses? I’m unsure how reliable these witnesses are. It somewhat seems that they were taking her side blindly. Since the evidence came out that she had them unfollow Baldoni, I now feel uncertain how reliable they will be as witnesses. Did you see the Richter case? The actor who plays Reacher? Three people were witnesses against him and took the side of the real aggressor, yet the video shows that Richter is actually innocent. If Richter did not have a video of his own, the use of witnesses would have had him in prison. The witnesses were neighbors of the real aggressor. I hope both sides with have ‘reliable’ witnesses who will tell the truth. It happens online as well, people take bits and parts of information and have low cognitive ability to grasp the big picture. We pick sides out of bias.

I really like your ambition. However, whether she wins or loses is not my motivation. I’m open to what is universally true. I try not to tie these things to my identity. Now that the SH claims have been dismissed, I don’t care as much as I did before. If the Judge says the claim does not meet the legal threshold I believe him as he did a great job breaking it down. My original comment explained how I understood his reasoning. Right now, based on what recently has occurred it seems possible she will lose, but I’m not sure. That is reliant on the evidence that will support the retaliation claims. If there was wrong doing on either side, I hope for justice overall. I’m not here to pick someone to be guilty or innocent. I see this is important to you and I respect that. However you continue to think this is a competition… I will respect what the courts decide and what is “TRUE”.:)

This is not about who is right or wrong but to clarify my stance to better connect with you, as you clearly misinterpreted my original comment. You are still doing it now… and it shows me what I already clarified. You have tunnel vision when it comes to this. I hope you are right but that was never my debate. I’ve been reading about Roy Cohn, and it’s one of the most tragic displays of cognitive dissonance I’ve ever seen… Cohn was a brutal attorney who profited by attacking his own community (LGBTQ+), he was desperately seeking a seat at a table that would never truly accept him. It reminds me of the Manosphere, specifically Myron Gaines. It comes across as a desperate desire to have proximity to power where you attack your own people to prove you aren't one of them to a group that only tolerates you as a tool. Do you know what the irony is? Cohn taught others not to care what people think, yet he lived his whole life afraid of being seen for who he was. It’s exhausting. Imagine the energy wasted on that masquerade. He wanted to appear to be tough, and I understand becuase society would not have accepted him and his career would never have advanced as far as it did. Yet the premise of this discussion was regarding an extensive 152 page document. You don’t want to read it because you likely realized what my intent was this entire time. I approached this with nuance and if you truly read my original comment, what I initially stated actually aligns more with what you said than you think. In order to hold a debate, it requires nuance. I am an academic writer and doctoral student in my field. I’m also Autism Level I. My way of thinking and articulating things are in depth. You reacted to me and that’s alright, I’ve done the same thing in the past with other topics I’ve been passionate about. Perhaps you also failed to quote every quote that is not relevant to this particular topic across the 152 page document. The judge only ruled on merit and isn't allowed to rule on facts.That is the job of a jury.. Let me also remind you that previously the judge dismissed 3 out of 7 of wayfarer claims

Judge Liman explicitly stated that Lively's feelings were reasonable, which is a legal acknowledgment, not an emotional one. He didn't dismiss the retaliation claims which is relevant to the potential of bots. If it were debunked, then how did the claim survive? As someone who works in technology, there are definitely bots. Also where did I say that my feelings were above fact? I clearly stated that it would be hard to prove. If you want to project that I should stick to facts it starts with reading and comprehension on your part. There is a massive legal difference between unproven and disproven. I stated that I believe there are bots but that it has not been proven. Let’s stick to facts and comprehension as to what was said and not said. If the retaliation claim is proven by the courts to be false, I will acknowledge it, just as I have with the SH claims. Until then, I said what I said.
