Dermot Gallagher on Sky - a yellow card was fair for this tackle: "I think yes. He slips when he goes to make the tackle, no force and intensity, and it's low. I think Anthony Taylor has got it right. He doesn't make the challenge he intended to make.” x.com/MediaPLLL7/sta…

A Farce in Four Acts: 1. Trump skipped the WHCD every single year. 2. Except this one. 3. All of a sudden there’s a shooter in the lobby. 4. Trump: “This shooting is a clear example of why we need a new ballroom!” It hardly gets any dumber than this.

@darrenrovell And Nike showed how much the footwear in that and this era counts and why at that point adidas and other manufacturers let their athletes wear Nike shoes while they worked in improving theirs and why he was confident could break we as wearing brand the new advance shoe today

Nike spent millions on “Breaking2,” an attempt to break the 2 hour marathon by Eliud Kipchoge. Kipchoge did it in Nikes in 2019, but it was with lazers and pacemakers. It didn’t count. Today, 2 men do it officially. Both in adidas. The hits keep coming.

@NLAHamilton Obviously lower standard but the step from academy level hasn’t phased him and don’t think prem would and his performances seem as good as any of Solanke and Richalson even if at a lower level

Sessegnon has gone back to Fulham and gotten fit and looks like he's got his career back on track. There needs to be a serious investigation into what we do to our players. We are ruining careers with how bad our medical and physio team is at Spurs.

@blthfc @N17Cox Overplayed as no other options - why selling Johnson was stupid as at time so many saying get replacement in first as could see it happening - reason why kudus started so well as want as good as season went on as overplayed

Interesting stat: Spurs haven’t gone 2 weeks during the season without a new injury since March 2023. 3 years of ACL injury after shoulder injury after hamstring injury. One player comes back and 2 are injured. For 3 years straight. Normally long term too Just bizzare and sad.

@blthfc @N17Cox It’s obviously multiple things but I think having off style of managers meaning being coached to do diff things - one wants more sprints one endurance etc - but main thing was summed up in Jan window no signings as injured players back soon putting more pressure on those playing

The standard of refs this season is absolutely shocking they can’t keep the whistle out of their mouths it’s the same week after week they just make wrong calls constantly this is not just Tottenham games for anyone thinking a spurs bias it’s the worst I have seen in premhistory

Sunderland score a fluke v us then concede one the same way. Both incidents massively damaging to Spurs. I hate the woe is me stuff but fuck me. 2 years of non stop injuries and the football gods conspiring against us. As if the ownership wasn't bad enough we have this shit too.

@TouchlineX Who cares if they don’t get it and think arrogant when opposite
They just know, they're so sure
That England's gonna throw it away, gonna blow it away
But I know they can play.  30 years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming.

🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Ruud Gullit SLAMS England's "It's Coming Home". "The thing is that England sees it as a gimmick, but the rest of the world sees it as arrogance. That's the difference." "England don’t own football. They invented it but a lot of countries made it better.”

Compare this to Spurs, where the hierarchy wouldn’t even kick up a fuss if Sol Campbell got named as the ref for our last 5 games. We are reffed so badly because we allow ourselves to be. Not one penalty all season. And red cards for things that others get away with every week. It speaks for itself. An Arsenal man running our club and no one to stand up for us.
The Athletic | Football@TheAthleticFC

It has been two years since Stuart Attwell last officiated a Nottingham Forest match. That’s no coincidence. The Athletic can reveal PGMO has deliberately kept Attwell off Forest games after the club’s social media outburst over his VAR display in a game against Everton in 2024. @DTathletic explains, while Graham Scott (@Refsplaining) argues that clubs have too much say on refereeing appointments. nytimes.com/athletic/72014…
