Just wanted to give a shout out to my friend Samantha Logan . Sam trained a double today at Hawera including this very good win by Katamuku 5yo mare by Swiss Ace in R2 . Always hard to get a maiden winner to go back to back but she did win again today and with some ease , her other winner was Mille Grazie in R6 . Sam also trains 2 horses ive blackbooked recently Flanagan and Ascension, keep an eye out for them in the coming months .

A well-judged front-running ride from Rory Hutchings sees the Almanzor mare Ascension pick up the second win of her career this afternoon at Te Aroha. Out of the Lonhro mare Shanro, Ascension is trained by Samantha Logan and raced by her breeders Brown Thoroughbreds Ltd and JML Bloodstock Ltd @ElsdonPark.

@HallPania @TrialNz @tonyferraro3 NZ record speaks for itself. As for patience and good staff, Ritchie Murray team are more than qualified and do an excellent job. Insinuating otherwise is very disrespectful. Perhaps she hadn’t settled into the new stable as well as desired. The new environment etc. Many factors!

@samlogan7 @TrialNz @tonyferraro3 Everyone saw what I saw. And a commentator mentioning that kiwi fillies are like this is unfair. Her racing manners and barrier manners will cost her. Teaching a horse like this takes tonnes of patience and good staff. Pleased she's gone out. Hopefully she comes back better.

Thought Transcend ran a nice race yesterday at Randwick. She’s a high energy horse at the moment and once she learns to settle down in her races she will become a very good horse. Tight shot of her run seen throwing her head around in the red colours

@HallPania @TrialNz @tonyferraro3 This is a pretty unfair comment. How do you suggest you teach a highly strung filly manners? I personally saw the horse work most days in NZ, her NZ trainers did a wonderful job working with her. I was also on course for her last start in NZ. She was foot perfect!

@TrialNz @tonyferraro3 To be honest the NZ trainers should be embarrassed "preparing' a horse with no manners on and off the track. The strapper with a blood nose and then trying to get away from the barrier attendant. Yes she's got talent but she needs some manners.
