@samuelpsinclair We all lost an Uncle. Genuinely his name in the 80s playground was Uncle Clive.

@samuelpsinclair I was gutted when I heard the news yesterday. I was 11 when the ZX81 came out, begged my mum for one and then the ZX Spectrum. I still have them. I knew back then what I wanted to do with my life and I’ve been a Software Developer ever since I left school. RIP Sir Clive.

@chelisinclair @samuelpsinclair Sir Clive introduced me to computing via the magnificent ZX81. Whilst I don't and probably never will have a career in computing (utterly crap at maths), it is still one of the great loves of my life.

@samuelpsinclair An absolute Legend of a man - made the childhoods of many of us, particularly in the UK. I'm in not in UK now but my 48k is still in my parents attic in the UK. I can honestly say, even though it's 4000 miles away, I will never bring myself to throw it out. Condolences from 🇨🇦.

@samuelpsinclair So many of us admired his work as an inventor and entrepreneur, it’s far too easy to forget the human element of him being someone’s husband, father, grandfather or great grandfather and how you’ll feel his absence every day. Terribly sorry for your loss.

@samuelpsinclair It is vitally important for many people who started in computing in the 1980s with the ZX line to recognize the name of Sinclair. The connection with your grandfather is one of deep affection and feeling for thousands of people. Be very proud of your grandfather forever.
