Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un Earlier today, I led a state delegation to Malumfashi for the funeral prayer of the late Managing Director of the Katsina State Water Board, Engr. Tukur Hassan Tingilin. The Janazah prayer, led by the Honourable Khadi of Katsina State, Mutawakkil Mustapha Salis, took place shortly after Jumu’ah at the Malumfashi Central Mosque, drawing family members, friends, government officials, traditional leaders, and members of the community. Engr. Tingilin served Katsina State with dedication and integrity, particularly in strengthening our water infrastructure and public service delivery. His commitment to duty and humility in service will be remembered. On behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, colleagues at the Water Board, the good people of Malumfashi Local Government Area and Katsina State. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, accepts his return, grants him Aljannatul Firdaus, and gives his loved ones the strength and patience to bear this painful loss.

Earlier today, I inaugurated the National Convention Committee of our great party at the National Secretariat in Abuja. The Committee is headed by Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, our highly respected former Speaker of the House of Representatives and former Governor of Katsina State. It was a defining moment that underscores our Party’s enduring commitment to democratic values, internal democracy, and organisational excellence. Today marks another important milestone in the progressive journey of our great party, the All Progressives Congress. A national convention is not merely a gathering; it is an affirmation of our democratic ethos, a celebration of our internal democracy, and a clear demonstration to Nigerians that the APC remains the most organised, forward-looking, and viable political platform in our country. I also reflected on our recent electoral successes, including decisive victories in by-elections across the country, with particularly strong performances in the Federal Capital Territory, Kano State, and Rivers State. These outcomes further affirm the confidence Nigerians continue to repose in our party and decisively put to rest unfounded claims by opposition elements. I expressed profound confidence in the leadership of the Convention Committee. Rt. Hon. Masari is a statesman of exceptional pedigree, whose decades of experience, integrity, and deep understanding of party administration make him eminently qualified for this responsibility. His acceptance of this assignment is yet another demonstration of selfless service to the Party and to our nation. To all members of the Committee, I made it clear that they were carefully selected based on their proven integrity, wealth of experience, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of our Party. They have been entrusted with the responsibility to plan and deliver a convention that is transparent, inclusive, and credible—one befitting of a ruling party of the APC’s stature. I assured the Committee of the full support of the National Working Committee and the entire party structure.
