Stoked to see 'Broadening our view of what success looks like' as a one of the key shifts in the new curriculum. What a perfect time for school leaders to get into #storyhui and let the kids decide what success means for them!

@kerriatlearning @PVSmithauthor @nzbookcouncil Kids thought this experience was amazing. My learners also enjoyed interviewing Pauline for a podcast they created.

Just wow!
Thank you so much @PVSmithauthor for giving up your time to zoom with our kids reading #NZraDawnRaid22 & for bringing our very special guest Tigi. What a treat for us to have our kids asking questions to you both & learning so much.

@Room718 Hello Grace, I can totally understand where you are coming from. Music plays a huge part in my life as well. I play it when I are both happy and sad - because it allows my imagination to run wild. Why do you think it helps you to bust out those moves?
English

@sandraahoward #NZraAnnual2 I chose that because it takes over my body when I listen to it I just have to bust a move.
Grace
English

#NZraAnnual2 this is my art Inspired by the wealth poem. The Dance going down is because I love to dance and music because I love music and nature because it makes me feel alive.

@assscroft @AnnaTat44192800 Hello Nick, what is it about long weird rhymes that make you like them so much? #NZraAnnual2
English

@AnnaTat44192800 I love rhyme! Especially long weird rhymes. I recently rhymed 'yoghurt issue' with 'Mogadishu'. but I either do rhyming or non-rhyming. The first RUDE poem rhymed. #NZraAnnual2
English

@assscroft, Here is a question from Miss Tate - We read that you like rhyming, but your poem ‘Wealth’ doesn’t seem to rhyme. Is there a reason for that?
#NZraAnnual2 Maybe it's to do with rewriting it. Did the first one rhyme?
English

@Rongokako21 Hello Luca, I like the line where you talk about having chances during your life time. Are you able to explain this in more depth?#NZraAnnual2
English

@kerriatlearning I think that the poet should have the final say because everybody connects with poetry in different ways. Sometimes I think people see what they want to see in a poem. What do you think? #NZraAnnual2
English

so from this I gather that you can't have the final say as to what is in or out?
Harsh!
What do you think kids? Should the poet actually be able to have a say ?
#NZraAnnual2
Nick Ascroft@assscroft
@Room718 Aaarrgh. Hard! Often my favourites are poems no one else likes. Just because they are successful at what they do or mean something dear to me. I have one called 'No More Experimental Cat Poetry' that I love, but my editor cut it from my last book. It made no sense. #NZraAnnual2
English

@Room718 Hello Room 7 - I agree with you on this point because I too enjoy listening to music and a couple of songs really stand out for me.#NZraAnnual2
English

The line “Or when you listen to music so good it hurts” relates to me because I’ve listened to tons of good music and all of them hurt from how good they were. ~Leo #NZraAnnual2
English

Q2, Hey Nick @assscroft and #NZraAnnual2 Do any of the paragraphs in the poem relate to you and your life? How?
