@TheDailyShow Absolute genius! The only thing more embarrassing than showing up to 'own China' with your billionaire boy band in tow is pretending you didn’t immediately regret it the second Air Force One touched down. By the way @TheDailyShow Masterful work.

What does it really mean to say “Bring Change Home?” As we move closer to opening our doors, President Obama reminds us that the Obama Presidential Center wasn't built to celebrate one person’s legacy—it was built to unlock the power within you. Come visit and get inspired to take action. #BringChangeHome. Get your tickets: obama.org/visit/museum-t…

Antigua and Barbuda Ditches Colonial Oath to King Charles Antigua and Barbuda has officially ended the requirement for elected officials to swear allegiance to King Charles III, formally rejecting a colonial tradition that kept the British monarchy at the center of public office. Newly elected officials will now pledge loyalty to Antigua and Barbuda, its Constitution and its laws. This matters because an independent country should not require its leaders to swear allegiance to a foreign monarch before serving its own people. The change follows a constitutional amendment passed in December 2025. Attorney General Sir Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin said the country would no longer swear allegiance to “His Majesty in England,” but to the state of Antigua and Barbuda. For a nation that has been independent since 1981, this is long overdue.

Africa’s continued exclusion from permanent representation in the Security Council is a historical injustice & indefensible. This is not about privilege or symbolism. This is about ensuring that the Council is fit for purpose & able to act with legitimacy and effectiveness.

@jacksonhinkle Africans themselves are the ones driving these choices, not just spectators in a China-West rivalry. Open competition can actually benefit the continent if leaders negotiate wisely.

@jacksonhinkle Macron's framing may carry awkward colonial optics, especially on African soil, but it's worth looking past the delivery to the substance.

Prof PLO Lumumba now exposes how African leadership either does not see the current scramble for Africa by former colonizers which is now framed as "relationships" or they just don't care. He reveals it in their behaviour as they allow the imperialist to have unfettered access to their critical infrastructure. "Look at energy now, who controls the oil sector in the continent of Africa? A good chunk of it is Total Energy (France). If you look at the discovery of oil in Uganda and who is investing in the pipeline? Total Energy. You go to Mozambique, the gas is Total Energy and if they are not coming through Total Energy, it's Rubi (France). @HatsOffff @Spearhead_Af
