Forest-driven humidity can support cloud formation over the Bay, which may reduce extreme pre-monsoon heating over eastern and central India. This is the "pre-Monsoon Convection Support". 5) Forests indirectly affect local sea surface temperature patterns by regulating coastal microclimates, which in turn influence broader atmospheric flows. 6) While distant, the islands are part of the larger Indo-Pacific climate system, contributing marginally to patterns that affect Indian heatwaves. Moist, forest-influenced air can dilute dry, hot continental air masses before they reach eastern India. 7) Summary? The forests of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands do not directly control mainland heatwaves, but contribute indirectly through moisture supply, atmospheric conditioning, and support to monsoon dynamics, effects that are subtle but climatologically very relevant.
