Having a social media embargo date be earlier than a review embargo date and only granting access to the former if you're conducting interviews for the junket is a silly system that should be abolished. There should be one embargo date for everything. Plain and simple.

Inside of the next 2 weeks, all media that gets access will see Disclosure Day and then it will open. It’s soon. No one is going to die in the release process or from a 2 week wait. I have always believed in wide screening policies and strict embargo management. The problem is, it’s a lot of work. Marketing departments already work their asses off. No one is slacking. But studios are also conflict averse and any complex embargo structures cause conflict. It’s a difficult problem. There are exceptions, but I believe junket embargoes and all-media embargoes should be the same, including content made at junkets. With Thursday launches for pretty much everything, Wednesday should be review day.

@_mrchaturvedi Especially in the festival & independent cinema circle. Many of the critics/film enthusiasts are there in letterboxed. Like During Cannes, many were giving updates on time. It’s more like Facebook of Cinema kinda 😅

@_mrchaturvedi IMain thing about Letterboxd is their marketing.Their social media is so good. Favourite 4 films. So once you start using it you feel like you are part of a cinephile fraternity. Many filmmakers are there. So you feel like you are one among them. A collective feeling!
