GATOR IN POOL! 🐊Tampa Police received a call of a possible home intruder, and were left stunned by what they saw swimming in the resident's pool...a 9-foot gator. Only in Florida! Credit: @TampaPD

Best chance for an isolated tornado on Saturday is in Big Bend National Park. There aren't many roadways there – nor people.

😴 The Weather is about to get… BORING. After days of Blizzards, Severe Storms, Tornado Watches, and Wind Storms, the atmosphere is finally about to calm down. High Pressure will begin taking control across much of the country, with the major Low Pressure Systems staying North into Canada. In other words… No major Storms. No Tornado threats. No Blizzards. Just some peaceful Weather for a bit. Honestly… after the chaos we just had, we deserve it. 👊 Enjoy the calm, my brotheren

Fortunately, today turned out to be a MAJOR Bust for Tornadoes. There was NOT a Tornado Outbreak. In Total, there was only 2 Tornado Reports, on a Moderate Risk day. As Meteorologists, we always have to look back and examine what we could have done better. And we have to take responsibility when things don't pan out. That's how trust is built. And in this case, we got this one wrong. I got this one wrong. Our job is to communicate the most likely scenario based on the data, and today one of the leading possibilities was a higher end Tornado Outbreak along the East Coast. But that didn’t happen. Instead, morning rain stabilized the atmosphere, and even though the wind shear and spin in the atmosphere were off the charts, the instability and storm fuel just never showed up. When that happens, storms struggle to produce Tornadoes. Every forecast bust is an opportunity to learn and improve, and that’s exactly what I intend to do. I’ll keep studying this setup and work even harder to get the next one right. Sincerely, Meteorologist StormCat5

@JordanHallWX I had mine yanked. Don't know how that would work with Hashimotos though. Hopefully you will find your optimal levels. Thing that helped me was learning to read the signs of when my levels were off and what my body was telling me. Good luck Jordan!

Life update: Yesterday I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and started medication today. My TPO was 340 on a scale from 0-34 and my TSH is a 13.800 on a scale from 0.450-4.500. For a while now I’ve felt pretty awful with constant brain fog, being extremely sluggish, and feeling cold all the time. Sierra has even said that sometimes I feel like a dead body to the touch. Honestly, I had started to think I was just burned out from chasing so much and mentally worn down. So in a weird way, it’s actually a relief to finally know there’s a real reason behind how I’ve been feeling. Hoping the meds start helping soon and things get back to normal. The fact I’ve been able to push through this long and chase the way I have been keeps me excited knowing that I could still rip it for years to come.

💨 A WIND STORM is about to RIP through the Midwest as a powerful Low Pressure System slams across the region. A tight pressure gradient between this deepening Low and strong High Pressure to the North will cause winds to CRANK tonight into tomorrow. 🌬️ Wind gusts could reach 50 to 60 MPH across parts of Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. This is where a HIGH WIND Warning is in place. ⚠️ Secure loose outdoor objects and be prepared for very windy conditions as this system moves through. 👊 Hang onto your hats, my Midwest brotheren

I've looked at ALL the Major Weather Models this Morning. They are speaking to me. They all say ONE THING ⬇️ ⚠️ A DOUBLE WHAMMY of Winter Storms is about to bring MEGA Snow back to the Midwest. Two separate Storms will sweep through the region over the next few days, each bringing a round of accumulating Snow. Winter is SO BACK 👀❄️🌨️ ⬆️(If you can't tell from the emojis I'm LOCKED IN on this Storm) Breakdown below ⬇️ ❄️ Storm #1 — Friday into Saturday The first system will spread Snow across North Dakota, northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, with several inches likely in many areas. The National Weather Service has already issued Winter Storm Warnings, and even Blizzard Warnings in the UP of Michigan, where strong winds could create near impossible travel conditions. But this is really just the warm up act for the main event Sunday… 🌨️ Storm #2 — Sunday A second, stronger Storm will move in Sunday, bringing another round of Heavy Snow to the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes. Exact totals are still uncertain, but models are clear - signaling the potential for significant accumulations across parts of the Midwest. The heaviest Snow will likely fall in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UP of Michigan, where 1–2 FEET of Snow is possible. 🧊 Near the center of the Storm, a zone of Freezing Rain could develop. Cities like Chicago and parts of central Michigan may have to deal with dangerous icing conditions. 👊 Get ready, my brotheren… another Winter Storm is coming.

📈Unfortunately, The Tornado Threat has TRENDED UP today across the Lower Midwest, with a few STRONG EF3+ Tornadoes now possible. This comes after the Storm Prediction Center UPGRADED the Tornado Risk to a CIG 2, which signals the potential for strong Tornadoes. And that upgrade is WELL deserved. Because now most major Weather Models have come into agreement on one scenario ⬇️ 🌪️ LONG TRACK Tornadic Supercells forming and producing BIG TIME Tornadoes. But this threat is NOT a slam dunk. It’s not guaranteed. It could still BUST. Everything will depend on where Storms initiate relative to a Warm Front lifting through the region. ⬆️If Storms form north of the Warm Front, they’ll likely remain elevated hail producers, with a much lower Tornado threat. ⬇️If Storms fire too far south, they may never interact with the boundary and miss the added spin needed to become tornadic. So yes, there is still a chance this event underperforms. ⬇️ BOTTOM LINE Anyone across Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and down toward Texas needs to take today seriously. Have multiple ways to receive Weather Warnings, and if you get a Tornado Warning, take shelter immediately. 👊 Stay safe, my brotheren. Today is a dangerous day.

🚨 A LUDICROUS amount of Snow is about to fall in the Pacific Northwest as an Atmospheric River slams into the region. The heaviest Snow will fall in the Cascades, where totals will be measured in FEET rather than inches. By the time it’s all said and done, up to 8 FEET of Snow could pile up in the higher elevations over the next several days. 🌧️ Meanwhile, lower elevations will deal with the opposite problem. Warmer temperatures will keep most precipitation as rain, and that could lead to flooding concerns in some areas. 🏔️ This is great news for Snowpack across the Cascades as we move closer to spring. Looks like our Pacific Northwest brotheren aren’t done with Winter yet. 👊 Enjoy the Snow, my brotheren.

HERE WE GO AGAIN..... SEVERE WEATHER is likely for 40 Million+ People across the US this week, with Tornadoes, Large Hail, and Widespread Damaging Winds all possible Tuesday and Wednesday. But this WON'T look like last week’s Storms. This setup is a little more complex. Instead of one big system, we’ll have two separate areas of Low Pressure forming underneath two different troughs moving through the country. That means two separate zones of Storms in two VERY different Atmospheric Environments could develop. Here’s how this all plays out⬇️ 🌪️ TUESDAY — SOUTHERN PLAINS THREAT The first round of Severe Storms will likely fire across 2 separate areas Tuesday afternoon - one in Texas and Oklahoma, and another in Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois In both areas, warm, unstable air from the Gulf will surge north, allowing Supercells to develop along a dryline that'll extend from Illinois into Texas. These storms could produce: 🧊 Large hail (in any Supercells) 🌬️ Damaging winds 🌪️ A few Tornadoes Any Storms that form early in the day Tuesday will have the greatest Tornado risk as they'll likely be Supercells. Storms will eventually begin clustering together and form into a line later in the evening, greatly decreasing the Tornado Risk. ⚡ WEDNESDAY — MIDWEST THREAT By Wednesday, the focus will shift farther north as our two disjointed Troughs merge into one Storm System overtop of the Great Lakes. Storms are likely to fire along a Cold Front from Ohio into Tennessee and Mississippi, and slam their way East through the day. Because Storm Mode may be more linear, I would expect Damaging Winds to be the main threat. Although, there certainty would be a localized Tornado threat, wherever isolated Supercells are able to form ahead of the Front. The main threat here looks to be: 🌬️ Damaging winds 🧊 Large hail 🌪️ A Tornado or two in any Discrete Supercells* ⬇️ Bottom line: Multiple rounds of Severe Storms are possible much of the country, with 40 Million+ people at Risk. 👊 I’m going to be watching this like a HAWK 🦅, my brotheren
