The ballot props support more subsidized, rent-reg housing. Rent freezes in 2015, 2016 & 2020 didn’t stop housing production. Aff housing production went up bc the market wasn’t building it on its own. W/ the recent zoning text amendment & these ballot props, we’ll build more

How can it be a good ex of housing investment when there’s been none & it’s missed 3+ cycles of capital repairs? The 1st real test of public investment will be the NYCHA Preservation Trust or Comp Mods

How’s that “stability and health” working out at NYCHA which needs at least $78B in repairs and is on the brink of partially being sold off the private sector in chunks to rescue it? We haven’t built a bridge in New York in decades and they are levering the revenue from TBTA to shore up deficiencies elsewhere. The MTA is $50B in debt on the brink of fiscal collapse unless it gets more non operational revenue sources. Here a graph of NYCHA developments and shootings.

@Scottie11379 @YesOnAffHousing @abundance_ny I’m a rent stabilized tenant (have been for years) on the LES. I’m a tenant organizer — I work with other rent stab and NYCHA tenants. And I pay too much in rent! Which I why I’m fighting for a rent freeze.
