Lunch with the best chef we know: liver paté and cheese biscuits, a little rosé, chicken and (wonderful noodle-like) dumplings, corn muffins, salad, and peach-fig crisp with plum sorbet. It was all extraordinarily good--as always. And the conversation was, too. Love you, Sarah!

Dinner party: bourbon sour with fennel and little goat-cheese toasts, then sweet-and-sour salmon, onion-za'atar flatbread, and Reichert riesling, followed by salad. To finish, amarena (sour cherry) crostata with whipped cream. Delightful!
