Armenians know actual living Georgians more than vice versa, probably because they’ve been coming to the Georgian seaside a lot in recent decades, or originate from Georgia / have ethnic Armenian relatives in Georgia.
But they are mostly unaware of the gravity of situation in Georgia. The amount of “it’s just the same here” responses I get makes me sad. Then, when I proceed to describe the full depth, I get disbelief in response, which is sad but valid: “We used to look up to you!”
Subsequent reaction is usually a deep surprise and amused chuckle when I say that now many Georgians look up to Armenia’s development and wish we had the Pashinyan government.

National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan stated during a briefing that Azerbaijan and Armenia serve as security guarantors for one another.
“Azerbaijan is the guarantor of Armenia’s security, and Armenia is the biggest guarantor of Azerbaijan,” Simonyan said.
He noted that various forces are attempting to push the two countries toward renewed conflict.
“It is obvious that many forces want to drag Armenia and Azerbaijan into war against each other. Conflicts are deepening everywhere in the world. The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan have reached a point that must be strengthened,” he said.
Simonyan also addressed criticism from opposition lawmakers regarding the issue of security guarantees.
“There is talk about a guarantor. Our opposition colleagues in the National Assembly ask, ‘Who is your guarantor, Azerbaijan?’ They do not even understand this discourse,” he added.
