Un pastore iracheno, tutto solo nel deserto, si imbatte per caso in una base militare segreta. Ma non una base qualsiasi: una base israeliana. Nascosta nel cuore dell’Iraq occidentale. A 1600 chilometri da Israele. Gli Stati Uniti, dal canto loro, ne erano a conoscenza. L’Iraq, invece, non ne sapeva nulla. Non invitato, non avvisato, non consultato. Semplicemente colonizzato a sua insaputa. Il pastore vede degli elicotteri che si comportano in modo sospetto. Avvisa le autorità. L’Iraq invia dei soldati a verificare cosa sta succedendo sul proprio territorio. Normale, insomma. E lì, boom: attacchi aerei. I soldati iracheni vengono colpiti dalle bombe. Un morto, due feriti. È la ricompensa per aver osato controllare il proprio territorio. L'Iraq condanna l'attacco all'ONU, convinto che siano stati gli americani. Ma no. Era Israele. La base segreta, costruita prima della guerra contro l'Iran, serviva da avamposto per operazioni aeree, forze speciali e persino squadre di soccorso nel caso in cui dei piloti israeliani venissero abbattuti. Insomma, Israele stava preparando la guerra dall'Iraq, senza chiedere il permesso all'Iraq. Quando le unità antiterrorismo irachene hanno finalmente perquisito la zona, hanno trovato prove di una presenza militare straniera. Ma senza mai riuscire a identificare chiaramente a chi appartenesse. Un esercito fantasma, insomma. Che bombarda i soldati del Paese che l'ha scoperto. E che prosegue per la sua strada, tranquillo, protetto dai suoi alleati. Ecco com'è andata. Un pastore, elicotteri, una base segreta, dei morti e un paese a cui viene violata la sovranità senza nemmeno esserne informato. Ma state tranquilli, è per la sicurezza di Israele. Un berger irakien, tout seul dans le désert, tombe par hasard sur une base militaire secrète. Mais pas n'importe laquelle : une base israélienne. Planquée au fin fond de l'ouest irakien. À 1600 kilomètres d'Israël. Les États-Unis, eux, étaient au courant. L'Irak, lui, n'en savait rien. Pas invité, pas prévenu, pas consulté. Juste colonisé sans le savoir. Le berger voit des hélicoptères faire les fous. Il prévient les autorités. L'Irak envoie des soldats vérifier ce qui se passe sur son propre sol. Normal, quoi. Et là, boum : frappes aériennes. Les soldats irakien se prennent des bombes. Un mort, deux blessés. C'est la récompense pour avoir osé contrôler leur propre territoire. L'Irak condamne l'attaque à l'ONU, persuadé que ce sont les Américains. Mais non. C'était Israël. La base secrète, construite avant la guerre contre l'Iran, servait de poste avancé pour des opérations aériennes, des forces spéciales, et même des équipes de sauvetage au cas où des pilotes israéliens se feraient descendre. Bref, Israël préparait la guerre depuis l'Irak, sans demander la permission à l'Irak. Quand les unités antiterroristes irakiennes ont enfin fouillé la zone, elles ont trouvé des preuves d'une présence militaire étrangère. Mais sans jamais pouvoir identifier clairement à qui elle appartenait. Une armée fantôme, quoi. Qui bombarde les soldats du pays qui l'a découverte. Et qui continue son chemin, tranquille, protégée par ses alliés. Voilà l'histoire. Un berger, des hélicos, une base clandestine, des morts, et un pays qui se fait violer sa souveraineté sans même être informé. Mais rassurez-vous, c'est pour la sécurité d'Israël. Un uomo di ottant’anni vive in un monolocale perché ha prodotto troppo latte. Il latte lo voleva comprare qualcuno. L’Unione Europea ha deciso che era troppo. Giuseppe Frison aveva un’azienda agricola a Mira, nella campagna veneziana. Dodici ettari, duecento mucche, una vita tra i campi. Negli anni Novanta riceve una multa da 600.000 euro per aver superato il tetto di produzione che l’Unione Europea gli aveva assegnato. Il suo consulente ha dimostrato che con le vacche presenti in stalla quel limite non poteva essere superato. La multa non doveva arrivare. Ma è arrivata. Concorda una rateizzazione da 40.000 euro l’anno, rinunciando al ricorso. Paga per qualche anno. Poi chiede un mutuo a Veneto Banca e alla Popolare di Vicenza. Entrambe falliscono. L’azienda finisce all’asta: casa, terreni, fabbricati, tutto. Il ricorso è sospeso. L’asta no. Oggi vive con la moglie in un monolocale a Malcontenta. Le quote latte erano un sistema introdotto dall’Unione Europea nel 1984. Ogni paese aveva un tetto di produzione. Chi lo superava pagava una multa. Il sistema doveva proteggere i piccoli allevatori dalla concorrenza dei grandi produttori del Nord Europa. L’Italia aveva circa 100.000 aziende lattiero-casearie. Oggi ne ha 15.000. Alcuni allevatori hanno sforato le quote consapevolmente. Altri sono stati multati per errori di calcolo dello Stato italiano — la Corte di Giustizia dell’UE lo ha confermato. Nel 2015 l’Unione Europea ha abolito il sistema. Non funzionava. Le multe però non sono state abolite. Nel 2026, quattromila aziende italiane hanno ancora debiti aperti per circa due miliardi di euro. Per aver prodotto qualcosa che il mercato chiedeva, in quantità che un regolamento non consentiva, all’interno di un sistema che non esiste più. (Giovanni Affinita)

President Trump was reported safe, and an “all clear” was issued shortly after. Reality bottom line: This is the latest in a pattern of heightened security alerts around the White House in 2026, including the April assassination attempt at the Correspondents’ Dinner. BREAKING | Armed Person Shot by Secret Service Near Washington Monument The U.S. Secret Service said that their plainclothes officers who were patrolling the outer perimeter of the White House complex saw a "suspicious" person who appeared to be armed. Uniformed Secret Service officers then made contact with the individual, who fled and fired gunshots in their direction. They then returned fire and struck him. Trump just sent a letter to Congress saying the war in Iran is “terminated” because today marks 60 days and in order for the President to have the authority to continue, the Constitution requires a vote from Congress. But the war is not really terminated. Trump is just restarting the clock to avoid a vote from Congress that may limit his power to wage a war on Iran, and the war is absolutely not over just because there has been a ceasefire. Also, Trump is about to start military actions again very soon. It never ended. This is unconstitutional and Congress should reclaim it’s constitutional authority.

If a foreign army occupied Texas, American militias would mine the roads. We know this because Texans will tell you themselves. Proudly. They have bumper stickers about it. They have prepared for it. The entire cultural mythology of the American gun owner is built on exactly this premise: When "they" come, we will be ready. "They." Some imagined foreign force that will one day arrive to take American freedom. The irony is total and it is never examined. The people most loudly committed to the fantasy of armed resistance against foreign occupation are the same people who looked at Iraqis mining roads against American soldiers and called them terrorists. The principle they claim to love, an armed population will resist occupation, they apply exclusively to themselves. The moment someone else applies it to themselves, in an actual occupation rather than an imagined one, the principle evaporates and what remains is: "Why do they hate us?"
