Dragged down streets with ropes tied around waists, handcuffed, stripped down to shorts: what sort of medieval barbarism is this by the @BJP4India government in Bengal? By all means let the law act against anyone found guilty, but this is gross abuse of basic human dignity. Democracy is based on the rule of law, not a hideous spectacle of public humiliation. Today it is political opponents of @BJP4India being shamefully paraded ; tomorrow it could be any citizen. Punishment can only follow conviction, not lynch mob-style degradation masquerading as justice.
