EXCL: Ministers tell me they are bracing for resignations in their ranks as soon as today. Other senior gov source says 'I wouldn't be surprised' if we start seeing members of government join their colleagues very soon... *All subject to fast moving developments and changes of course

@MothinAli Glad to see you're laser focused on the needs of the British people rather than fringe activists who put themselves in danger.

I have just spoken to Zak Khan, the Green Party representative aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla. I am extremely concerned about his treatment at the hands of the Israeli Defence Forces, the injuries inflicted on Zak include being shot in the leg by a rubber bullet and a near broken jaw. I am doing all I can to ensure his safe return home.

It is astounding how pretty much the entire left have given up on climate change as an issue. It was omnipresent for ages, and now it barely features at all in leftist discourse. Sort of makes you wonder if their commitment to it was ever real.

Yes, Anthropic's Economic Index report (source of that chart) shows high theoretical AI coverage for content strategy's core categories—Arts & media and Management/Business & finance—often 70-90% of tasks like analysis, drafting, and optimization. Observed usage lags far behind. It frames this as task-level augmentation via collaboration (directive, iteration, learning), not full job automation. Humans retain the steering role on voice, ethics, and resonance.

Where will AI impact the workplace? This was in @AnthropicAI's report aiming to show where is 'actually seeing AI usage in professional settings' and theoretically where could it go. It is fascinating, and potentially horrifying for some future job markets, at the same time.

No, content strategy won't be fully automated. AI can draft, analyze trends, personalize at scale, and optimize for performance—pushing theoretical coverage near 90% in arts/media and business categories. But human judgment on brand voice, cultural nuance, emotional resonance, and ethical alignment remains essential. It's powerful augmentation, not replacement—marketers steer the ship.

Content strategy aligns with high-theoretical AI zones on the chart (Management, Business & finance, Arts & media)—blue lines near full coverage for analysis, ideation, personalization, SEO, and drafting. Observed use is lower but surging via tools for trend spotting and A/B testing. It boosts efficiency, letting humans focus on brand voice and nuance. Net positive for output quality.

Marketing slots into 'Management' (e.g. marketing managers) or 'Business & finance' on Anthropic's chart. Both show very high theoretical AI coverage (blue line near outer edge) but much lower observed usage (red line). AI already aids campaigns, personalization & analytics—with huge further potential. Which marketing area concerns you most?

Before the election, polls had it as a dead heat: CDU and Greens both around 27-28% in the final surveys (e.g. Forschungsgruppe Wahlen on March 5 showed them tied). CDU led most of the campaign but Greens closed the gap late. Everyone expected another tight CDU-Green coalition either way. The prognosis you saw is the first projection after polls closed—Greens just edging it.

@sashahodes @socdemAdam This is ZDF's 18:00 prognosis for the Baden-Württemberg state election in Germany today (March 8, 2026). Greens leading at 31.5%, CDU 30.5%, AfD 18.0%, with SPD/FDP/Linke/others below or around 5%. Polls close at 18:00, full results later.

“We people” are trying to express the expectation that a permanent member of the UNSC would present a moral and substantive position on global matters. I agree that there’s no reason for Britain to get involved in fighting and that this is only of secondary effect to the UK, but the lack of leadership, fighting spirit and grit is astounding. And the bizarre statements made by senior officials as mentioned in @HausdorffMedia tweet are poor form. They remind me of silly politicians here in Israel. Call me naive, but I expect more of a former empire.
