@number_pizza111 The worst thing any non-political institution can do is permanently pick sides. While biases can and will exist (such as liberal Hollywood or conservative business) it should never get to the point in which the other side feels like it completely lost the institution.

On DOGE, Academia made a huge mistake by not giving the people in charge of America half the time any stake in their institution’s future. Gutting research, while bad for the nation, was smart politically, and I can’t help but see universities as partially at fault.
