@CoHNAOfficial We are not going to be silenced by any Yashica or H4HR or Thenmozhi! American Hindus can speak for ourselves and do not need any anti-Hindu cabal help! Apparently American laws are not good enough for this caste police!

@YashicaDutt So why did you block @CoHNAOfficial ? Narrative always runs on one side of story - genuine concerns and discussion are open and transparent both ways. Thank you @CoHNAOfficial for your work sharing the truth.

Dilip ji’ article resonates w all American Hindus. We live in U.S. legally & our kids r US born. They learn about caste in 6th/7th grade school. There is no systemic or rampant caste discrimination amongst the diaspora, but Sen Wahab got fame by sponsoring a dastardly bill! Shame
Dilip Amin, Ph. D.@DilipAminHSB

@SenAishaWahab If elected to the United States Congress, do you plan to introduce, support, or advocate for a similar caste-based bill as SB 403 at the federal level — yes or no? Today, voters deserve clarity. newindiaabroad.com/news/english/i…

The trajectory of @YashicaDutt’s reporting: 1) Claims BAPS prevents Dalits from entering, maligning Hindus in America. The article is then edited to be more factual. 2) Promotes NY’s caste-discrimination bill by claiming people are being turned away from “places of worship.” 3) The actual worship-space evidence in the Prism piece? Sikh gurdwaras. Meanwhile, the article’s political framing heavily focuses on “Hindu right” opposition 🤦

@YashicaDutt @prismreports Produce proof of rampant caste abuse, lady instead of trying to caste police American Hindus! Don’t need mischief makers like you in this country! Your buddy, Christian/Buddhist Thenmozhi’ cases & survey were thrown out of CA courts! Find a real job!

@CoHNAOfficial Well stated! Hindus for Human Rights is a misnomer, a Trojan horse. It’s sole existence is to spread anti-Hindu hate and misinformation. Its contempt for Hindu community is abhorrent. They clearly have no boundaries.

CoHNA (Coalition of Hindus of North America)
In recent years, groups like Hindus for Human Rights have become very vocal - claiming to speak for Hindus and using their privileged access to cancel authentic diaspora Hindu voices. But who is this group? Who advises them? Who are their allies? An analysis of their Advisory Board and publicly declared allies throws up some interesting contradictions. Call us crazy, but a group representing diaspora Hindus should be having advisors who are (1) diaspora and (2) Hindu. @Hindus4HR fails on both criteria. Not to mention some problematic actions & double standards that we lay out in this short video. Please read, share, amplify so that our policymakers understand that Hindus need to be represented by authentic Hindu only voices.

If you're a reader in India...Hindu at Heart was also written for you! American educational ideas, including critical frameworks that imagine Hinduism as oppressive and regressive, are exported back to India through academic conferences, schools of education, and American-funded educational projects. "Education is not a neutral technology that can simply be extracted from its country of origin and crop dusted across other countries." This is why I priced the Kindle edition to be accessible in India. Search Hindu at Heart on Amazon.in

CoHNA (Coalition of Hindus of North America)
So, Yashica Dutt has blocked CoHNA. So predictable because the only way caste activists thrive is via such hit n run tactics. For the past decade, they have insisted on blocking and canceling ANY fact, person, or opinion that runs contrary to the reality on the ground. In this case, Yashica’s bluff was called out quite strongly when we challenged her fake claims on “exclusion” in Hindu temples. Yashica was of course not going to demand to “touch” objects sacred to other faiths or barge into secular buildings the way she demanded of Hinduism. She also did not respond well to hearing from the diverse Dalit Bahujan voices from CoHNA that challenged her - so she tries to falsify their words and denigrate them as well. So much for solidarity! Yashica’s latest "news" article on the NY caste bill has her “reporting” on the very advocacy coalition she is part of? Fine as an Oped. But @prismreports presents this as a NEWS piece? Continuing her whisper campaign, Yashica goes on to make allegations about her opposition - tarring some as “militant” and brandishing favored labels like "Hindu rightwing/Hindutva," etc. But as PROOF, she only offers up allegations from fellow members of her own coalition - such as Hindus for Human Rights! Well, we guess in an article where Yashica can be both reporter and reportee, it’s only fitting for @Hindus4HR to be both accuser and validator. Without this closed citation loop that cancels diverse Hindu voices, there would be no way to build the house of cards that is the “Caste in USA” campaign. We will reiterate what we stated in the article - “Discrimination is already covered under existing law, and we condemn any kind of discrimination. Any individual or organization that faces discrimination needs to immediately get recourse, and current law covers that,” Pushpita Prasad, CoHNA’s chief communications officer, told Prism. “Trying to add the word caste into as a separate provision singles out people of Hindu and Indian American and South Asian origin. And that is not a proper thing to do in a law.” But this narrative runs contrary to the propaganda that Yashica, HfHR and their coalition members peddle - and so, it must be canceled by any means necessary. Unfortunately for them, we won’t be silenced or canceled. We are here to ensure Hindu civil rights are not trampled upon by bills and laws and Hindu temples retain the exact same rights afforded to all other institutions.

The sanctum sanctorum of ANY place of worship is subject to rules and open only to AUTHORIZED personnel. Hindu temples all over the world welcome a wide variety of visitors and devotees. In this short video, CoHNA’s Dalit and Bahujan leaders share their own lived experiences of inclusion and acceptance in temples across the US. If New York media is interested in Dalit Bahujan voices, we encourage them to listen and find out more. @YashicaDutt and @Hindus4HR are literally trying to deny Hindu spaces the most basic rights of access, security, and authorization. Let that sink in. We can also see they have no knowledge of how Hindu temples work, because the inner sanctum is always reserved for those with the authority and training to enter and execute a skilled job. And yes, the job of a Hindu priest is a skilled one, requiring years of study and training. We ask any of these caste warriors trying to paint Hindu temples as “exclusionary” for not having open access to anyone at any time - just try walking into ANY office or shop and demanding access to their inner spaces without authorization! Show up at your local tax-payer funded school and ask to sit in the chair of the school Principal for even an hour or demand to handle the trophies on display. Try walking into your city council meeting without an invitation and demand to sit at the table reserved for councilors. Go to your local grocery store, Target or Walmart and complain if the cashier does not allow you to “touch” the cash register. Try entering a pulpit without authorization or asking to touch sacred relics in places of worship that are not Hindu. This narrative is in line with their previous attempts to demonize Hindus and create double standards in law and policy. These fake allegations and tropes were used to build a witch hunt in California prior to the introduction of the infamous caste bill by State Senator Aisha Wahab (SB 403). Now, there is an attempt to revive and recycle those tired tropes to create a two-tier society in New York State. @CityAndStateNY

Most Hindu temples all over the world prohibit anyone but priests from entering the garbagriha. It’s the rule because of the metaphysics of the temple design, prana pratishta, etc. It’s not a civil rights violation. It’s only a civil rights violation if you don’t understand what a temple is and why the rule exists. You know, if you’re not a practicing Hindu. If these folks think this was a gotcha on @HinduAmerican…it’s an embarrassing self-goal. Pavam.

One day it’s a white supremacist peddling anti-Hindu hate, and the next day a non-Hindu so-called "academic" spewing this nonsense about what we supposedly believe. Audrey, it’s casteist to assume that priests must be Brahmin. And it's racist for saying Hindu temples are not allowed to have access rules. But we doubt it will stop you. This is your schtick, and you'll stick to it. That’s prejudice pretending to be expertise.

"Brahmins are difficult to convert! If it were not for brahmins, we should have all the heathens embracing our faith." -Francis Xavier in his letter to The Society of Jesus (dated 31 Dec 1543). This is the same Francis Xavier whose insult has landed a FIR for Gautam Khattar!!

Shudras were not only students but were well established teachers in Hindu schools, teaching every caste This was recorded even by the British in their surveys. Hindu Vedic system was educating women even during the time of Panini. Now hold ur ears & apologise for lying.

I’m sure if low caste or tribal women of those days had the same privileges and access to education there would have been many graduating with her. What’s actually sad is that you choose to see caste in this day and age.

Please feel free to DM me the grooming guides, screenshots of audits where points are cut, any written communication to that effect. I am in consultation with a lawyer and plan to pursue this. पिता रक्षति कौमारे भर्ता रक्षति यौवने । रक्षन्ति स्थविरे पुत्रा न स्त्री स्वातन्त्र्यमर्हति ॥ Manu 9.3 The father guards her during childhood, the husband guards her in youth, the sons guard her in old age; the woman should never be left vulnerable. As a father of a young daughter, I have been contemplating upon the horrible happenings at the Nashik TCS that have came to light in the last few days and one thought that repeatedly engulfs my mind is the Manusmriti's verse quoted above. People often blame Manusmriti as anti-women, but if we go beyond polemics and to the heart of Manusmriti, one will find Manu as being most concerned of the wellbeing of women and enunciates nothing but compassion and honor, and worshipful attitude towards women. At many places in the text, his concern for women's safety, wellbeing, and happiness shows forth. His concern for women's security and wellbeing here and now in everyday life is as prominent as his enunciation of women's dharma- duties and obligations for their spiritual wellbeing. One such verse is quoted at the beginning of this tweet. What is in actuality is a verse categorically defending safety and freedom of women from all forms of vulnerability is today used by detractors to paint Manu as curtailing women's rights and freedom. There is no better enunciation than this in Hindu textual sources, which explicitly stipulates that women should never be left vulnerable and places the responsibility of ensuring her safety by building a favourable and protected environment squarely on the shoulders of menfolk. It is the unfamiliarity with the text and its unique language usage that misleads many to interpret 'Na Stri Svatantram Arhati' in the verse as curtailment of the women's freedom, rather than what it truly stands for "women do not deserve to be felt vulnerable" i.e. they are always to be protected from harm. [Sharing few pages from my book 'Chatuh Shloki Manusmriti' on this verse.] It is so unfortunate that our society has forgotten such lofty teachings and instead we prefer to demonize such teachings. If only our society can be rebuild on Dharmic ideals permeating every dimension, every corner of it, our daughters would be much more safe, secure, and can pursue more fulfilling life.
