@RocketLeeArt @cass_ishere Not really. I re-read the manga recently as well and his first appearance was in CH6 and he got killed in CH15, and everything gets adapted in Brotherhood. BH also adds Hughes scenes in episode 1 and 2, but cuts quite a lot from the Ishval chapters.

@saurikon @cass_ishere Uuum no I read the manga and there's plenty of Hughes before he's killed. BH absolutely rushed it. Although yes, 03 stands supreme as it has the most Hughes out of any of them.

one of the best things of 03 is that it makes you care for characters like hughes so much more because you actually see him spend time with our main characters, its why it makes his death so much more tragic compared to BH which felt rushed and unsatisfying..

@RocketLeeArt @cass_ishere I don't think they rushed it. They did leave out a few chapters and reordered things a bit but the main reason the beginning of BH feels rushed is because of 03's pacing. The manga's pacing is also fast in the beginning, and even BH has more Hughes in it than the manga does.

@cass_ishere To this day I still have no idea what they were thinking by rushing the beggining of Brotherhood like that.
