@JoannaStern Aside from the inconvenience of the outage what was really poorly handled was informing those affected. Verizon has no problem texting, emailing me with useless offers. They could have spared me the 2 hours of trying to reboot the phone, delete networks, and driving to Vzn.

Asking the anesthesiologists and the OR nurses who is the best surgeon for an operation is the only safe way to pick a surgeon. They are the only ones who can separate between who is nice, who would be fun to go out with and who can get the patient out of the OR in one piece.

@RazBioTech These drugs will be DOA IMHO. 4 months vs 6 months, docs and patients don't really care. My patients are happy to come in 3X year and most want to for peace of mind. The real quantum jump will be if gene therapy gives us an actual cure. Both Vabysmo and Eyela HD can go 6mos.

@georgetolisjr Sort of true a decade ago. Now hospital systems and private equity decides who goes where. For these entities the idea to send the patient to the specialist that will get the best outcome is not relevant.

The worst falsehood I was told as a young surgeon is that if you do tough cases for a private referral group they will start sending you their routine cases as well. Sounds like words of wisdom but couldn’t be farther from the truth.
