I dont like Linkedin at all currently. Why? No one is really sharing any knowledge over there (except for few). Everyone is busy spreading "false positivity" for bunch of likes. And it's really okay because kindness and positivity go a long way, but I hate to see posts where people keep repeating themselves to milk more engagement, such as: "I was laid off 10 years ago because...." -- my man what are u doing now? "I have a PTSD from a bicycle accident..." -- This was her 5th post about her accident in a single year. "We hired this fresher over an experienced engineer because..." -- umm sure, but who asked? Maybe the latter wasn't the right fit. Happens all the time. "Hiring managers, you need to do this" --- my man, you do you, why are you judging other hiring managers. "I was rejected from a keynote speaking event last week because I didn’t have enough speaking ‘experience’" -- guess what? I was too. "I am a first generation immigrant who couldn't speak English and was living miles away from my family" -- guess what? Half of the world does that, but you chose to post it for 50th time, and we are still in July. I feel like twitter is much better in that sense. Too many realistic people with ambitions, dreams, and knowledge. Too much honesty which may seem rude, offensive or even negativity, but I think I'd prefer this over some long posts that is similar to 100 other posts.
