Whenever I fly, I always book a window seat.
Nothing unusual about that.
But here’s the slightly overengineered thinking behind it. 😎
Before booking, I check the flight path direction on the map and the time of the flight. Then I figure out where the Sun will be.
My objective: sit on the side opposite the Sun.
Example: Hyderabad → Bengaluru flights go roughly North–South.
Morning flight means the Sun is in the East.
So I calmly select Seat F on the row after the wings on the West side.
Result:
• No sunlight frying my eyeballs
• No wrestling with the window shade every 3 minutes
• Better cloud views
• Peaceful nap
Occasionally the pilot changes the route and the Sun ambushes me from the other side.
That’s when my strategy meets the Force Majeure Clause!
Out-of-the-box thinking in daily life.

@chiragbarjatya What do we know about people pressing the down button to call the elevator down vs for going down floors?
English

The Elevator Button Theory
The elevator button is a beautifully simple test of patience and common sense. Pressing it once is enough. The light comes on. The elevator knows you exist. Technology has acknowledged you. Congratulations.
Yet somehow, many people turn into professional button mashers. They keep pressing it repeatedly like the elevator is powered by annoyance. As if the building will say, “Wow, this guy is serious, better hurry.”
Not pressing it again is the objectively correct thing to do. It requires restraint. It requires trust. It requires accepting the tragic reality that the universe does not bend to your frantic tapping.
Nobody will punish you for pressing it ten times. Nobody will punish you for pressing down button to call the elevator down.
There is no fine. No police case. No CCTV man laughing at you. You gain absolutely nothing by doing it. Except maybe a workout for your index finger.
That is why the elevator is a perfect character test. Do you press once and wait like a rational adult? Or do you keep smashing the button like a toddler trying to skip an ad on YouTube?

This one page Notion portfolio has helped 12+ devs land jobs without referrals or fancy resumes. Today, I’m giving it away.
It’s not just a template. It’s a high signal, recruiter-friendly doc that shows what you’ve built and how you think.
Here’s why it works:
- Designed for fast skimming. One page. Zero fluff.
- Includes ChatGPT prompts to help you write with clarity.
- Shows your projects and your decision-making process.
- Adds product-thinking sections most dev portfolios miss (this is the era of product-first devs).
- Built to stand out even if you don’t have a CS degree or job history.
If you’re job hunting and want a portfolio that actually gets callbacks, drop a “yes” in the comments and I’ll send it over to you.
Let’s get you hired. 🙌🏻
