They don't understand bitter burnt coffee being poured with contempt. They don't understand visiting a place seven times and ordering the same thing every time then asking for "the usual" and then having the waitress say "And what would that be?" They don't understand having to earn respect. These are the foundations of the American spirit. The American Diner dissatisfies you enough to go out there and participate in a capitalistic society. To become somebody. The American Diner is the glue that holds the psyche of America together.
