Received an email today at 3pm from @TayPlayCamps cancelling this week’s activity camp for children. That’s really poor service to cancel with that little notice to sort alternative childcare arrangements. They said they ‘can’t run a camp with low participation numbers’. That’s rubbish. You can, you just make a loss on it. Or, cancel it with more notice. Better planning required.

Staff absence insurance - had a quote from Schools UK but haven’t used them before. Anyone have any feedback on them they can share? @SBLconnect

@DebsSayItAgain The support staff negotiation period is different to teachers. The deal for them is brokered and announced in April. Phillipson said nothing is decided as that is in a new budget.

@the_VHT After doing the same last year and getting expensive ones that were then ruined by the end of the summer my advice would be to invest in permanent shade. Maxim do 5mx5m ones for just under £5k
